Well it's certainly not the drink on this occasion - I've heard people deride you before and never really understood why, but then I've never really tried to debate with you on anything until recently. I don't mean to be harsh, but it's seriously head banging stuff - you want to fight with me as a pro-Palestinian because I admit the Palestinians blow people up too (without fully stating that Israel, who I so ****ing obviously don't like, do these things too).

It's not even an argument, it's me having to slow the conversation down so that you can understand that we pretty much support the same side in this one.

Dave is BH, I've had the same username since joining 606 many years ago.

His initial post pointed Israel as the aggressor. I agreed, he made the point that Palestinians bomb buses with kids in order to balance the viewpoint.

You then tried to push that his view was one sided against Muslims, which is why he is rightly pissed off.

You misconstrued a balanced argument and made it us vs them.

Abusing Fan or posting pictures of fruit is far more appropriate than attempting any sort of coherent discussion with him </endof>

<doh>

How do YOU know that all the money for the venture is being provided by the U.S? Seriously, how do you?

You quote a U.S report, so don't you think it will therefore show ONLY the U.S contributions and not the Israeli's?

The U.K in it's yearly accounts will no doubt show similar contributions towards the E.U and various other multi-national cooperatives, but does that mean that it is the sole provider of funding? <doh>

I would suggest that seeing that as though it is a cooperative, that the Israelis are ALSO contributing capital?

But I will give you the change to post an OFFICIAL link (not Wiki or Muslim Monthly) showing that this contribution from the U.S was to cover ALL the money required to fund the gig.

I'll check when I finish work later. Thanks <ok>

HE HE HE

The stats and figs I have given you are from the CRS dopey <oK> Congressional Service Report!

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is the public policy research arm of the United States Congress. As a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS works exclusively and directly for Members of Congress, their Committees and staff on a confidential, nonpartisan basis.

The other stuff I cited is from HAARETZ, which translated means News of The Land. Its Israel's oldest daily newspaper. It was founded in 1918 and is now published in both Hebrew and English in Berliner format

I source clearly states they give the money (CRS) and the other source (Haaretz) says there is a meeting taking place to say give us more

here it is again

I will ask once again, can you prove outrightly, that it is the USA who are providing ALL the funding towards military research and development with the Israelis while the Israelis don't put in a penny?

Using the Israeli equivalent of The Sun (known as our Voice Of The Nation) is no reliable link, so please, an official one if you don't mind <laugh>

Remember this:

"In the end, Israeli taxpayers had to put up some $3 billion, the equivalent of one-third of the 2001 defense budget, to pay for the overhaul. The investment paid off. As Giora Eiland, one of Ariel Sharon’s national-security advisers, puts it, Israel found the right balance between, on the one hand, government support and oversight and, on the other, private creativity and incentive, including encouraging independent research and development. When the country needs big conventional platforms like planes and helicopters and submarines, it buys overseas and then modifies the purchases to fit IDF systems and battlefield profiles. When the IDF needs high-tech weaponry, Israelis develop it themselves with an eye toward commercializing it abroad."

You see that last paragraph, what that says to me is that it is the Israeli people who have funded one helluva lot of these technological advancements, don't you think?

FAILTASTICOLICIOUS <rofl>

"On the other hand, American defense companies are increasingly seeing cooperation with Israel as the key to their own future. In addition to Iron Dome, Raytheon has signed on with Rafael Advanced System for development of another antimissile missile, the so-called Magic Wand or David’s Sling. A two-stage interceptor, the Magic Wand is designed to take out the long-range rocket and cruise missiles possessed by Hezbollah."

So what you can see here, is the U.S noting that AGAIN, the Israelis have developed (with their own money) a very capable weapon for use against LRRs and CMs possessed by Hezbollah. What the U.S have done, is enter into an agreement to co-fund developing the weapon to suit the needs of the U.S.

Basically the U.S has let the Israelis spend their hard-earned on the reseach and development of the basic platform while they will give some readies to tweak it a bit to fit their agenda and buy it as a COTS.

Pretty much which Britain does with the U.S and they do with us. Why bother spending all that wedge on the R & D when you can some other country to.

Because you've claimed that he was intentionally misquoted by Western media outlets, when it was actually his own people.
There is no direct translation too, so anything will be an interpretation and therefore debatable.

Despite me pointing this out repeatedly, you've both still repeated the same misinformation.
That's lying.

Just like this is lying.
Standing with the neo-Nazis again, Fan?
Has the Aussie air-traffic controller released his findings yet, through the Stormfront-linked site that you quoted? <laugh>

It's nice to see that you've admitted the theistic nature of your holocaust denial now, though.

Prove it.

I agree with Mick about the whole Israel/Palestine situation, by the way.
Both sides are wrong in many ways and outside interference and pressure isn't helping anyone.
Deluded religious loons make negotiation virtually impossible, too.

totaly dfferent from the US and Britin situation

As proven, the money to purchase the weapons comes mainly from the US, the training and research money/programmes are provided by the US, and the contracts are 'fixed' by the US

If you cant see that its your problem

youre both wrong. If i move into your house and kick you out, killing your famly, anything that happens after that is always attributed to me
This is what you guys dont get. Look at Micks view on Irelands troubles, contradicts his views on Palestine
Even the Brits had plans like suicide missions/squads in case of occuption by the Germans, but of course thats called war

Erm, so basically, you have shifted your bullshit arugment from the U.S providing direct funding to ARM the Israelis to them now being funded by the U.S purchasing what Israel produces? <doh>

<laugh> <doh> are you seriously thick? I only ask as you seem to think these 2 statements make different claims

1 - incidentally, without US funding, hardware, support Israel doesnt stand a chance

1 - As proven, the money to purchase the weapons comes mainly from the US, the training and research money/programmes are provided by the US, and the contracts are 'fixed' by the US

BOTH imply support, hardware, money, training etc from the US
