Seriously? Mind you, there are 2 Catholic Indians at my work, both have Indian forenames but Portuguese surnames. They get the luxury of the 4 weeks a year in India on holiday, and the fit Indian birds to choose from, but they get to drink beer too! Bastards.
I'm pretty sure one of them is already. I always thought it was weird, this Indian guy with "Fernandes" for his surname, then when someone asked him if he was fasting at Ramadan, he says he's a Catholic. I know it's daft, but it took me a couple of days to get my head around it!
Islamophobic in the sense that anybody who doesn't want a Mosque in there front garden is "Islamophobic" or anyone who thinks women shouldn't be whipped and beaten for being seen with a man who isn't related to her is also "Islamophobic".

Not my picture, my 'rebel' friend. I just used it because of the 'Stand your ground' bit. I have no involvement with the EDL. However, the rise in Islamlamic culture in Britain is no good thing. I for one refuse to eat Halal food.

I just had a little look at the 2001 census for Oldham. The Islamic population was relatively high, coming in at a little over 11%. There are 28 Mosques in Oldham (none in people's gardens). Interestingly the unemployment figure came in at 59%...... (in 2001). I wonder where I would be focusing my ire?
It's a shame those knuckle dragging morons the EDL have hijacked a serious concern amoung British people. Now, if you show any signs of being worried about the aggressive nature of Pakistani Muslims upon our communities and countries we are labelled with the EDL nonsense. And believe me it is worrying. There is a very strong strain of them that have no intention of meeting us halfway. I live in a town with a very large Muslim population and the hatred can be felt. It's a strange thing. My daughter is 5 and her 2 best friends at school are Muslim girls of Pakistani heritage. Their Mums are absolutely lovely. Yet my daughter comes home and says they told her that although they like her they don't like other white people. My daughter doesn't understand this because this is abhorrent to us. These girls have not come to this conclusion on their own. The adults in this situation are vile and should be ashamed but sadly, they do not see things in the same, level headed way we do. Racism is disgusting but I can tell you this, it is much more prevelant in the asian community than ours. I also find the disgusting hatred of all things English by certain Irish people disturbing. We know how disgraceful history has rightly painted our nation but believe me, it had nothing to do with me.
The schools and the community as a whole are to blame. Would like to see an end to state paid for religious schools, that might help. Apart from our football teams and websites it seems. If the OP had half a braincell he'd be dangerous.
I'd agree with most of that Zinc, but that isn't a problem with Islam, its a problem with racism. I accept there may be a concern with regards to the ghettoisation of an immigrant community and the social/religious reasons for that happening but I don't accept that Islam is to blame. As for the English thing, I thought it was evident that he was joking. If it wasn't, then I guess you have a point.
