He'll get a club, if he's sacked from QPR, but no way would I want that petulant little brat anywhere near our club, he represents all that's bad in footballers today!............... <cheers>

Sorry Vetch , wasn't having a go .... bad attempt at humor really . Some players personalities are mountains made out of molehills , like Dyer & perfect for Swansea nurturing ..... to me , Barton's a molehill out of a mountain & ain't never going to change ... Cheers Vetch , again .. sorry !

Hell no, I wouldn't want him cleaning my toilets! The man should be in jail not out being a menace to the public and getting paid vast sums of money to do so. He stubbed a lit cigar in a Man City youth players eye once. Do we really want that sort of scum in our squad.

I agree with Canary, if someone sent me a CV to work for me with a long list of crimes I would throw it straight in the bin! If he had done wrong once and had worked really hard at turning himself around, fair enough give him a chance but Barton's attitude stinks, always had and always will!

On a side note, if he'd got close to Ballotelli I'd have taken pleasure in seeing Ballotelli take him to the cleaners as he deserves nothing less.

You want him? You can have him.

I will personally drive him from London to Swansea in a Rolls Royce and bring along a marching band and troop of majorettes and will pay for the lot myself.

Bring the Rolls Royce and the party but don't bother bring Barton unless he's coming to stay at Her Majesty's pleasure! I'll look after the Rolls Royce once it has arrived by the way <ok>

Barton misunderstood..<laugh> He is a liability and should not come anywhere near the club.....We want to progress further and not face relegation with this guy onboard. we would be playing with 10 men most games when he is chosen that will cost us points....plus the fines the club would occur for not controlling their player....No way its just not worth the smallest of risks....

I'll say one thing for QPR, they can half pick them, you'd think after Terabyte, they'd go for a quite life, but no they had to up the stakes with Barton, maybe Cisse next aye!............. <laugh>

I detest the man and in a perfect world QPR should be able to fire him on the spot and not pay the quoted £11 milllion compensation package they would need to give him to fir him!!

BUT i can see where you are coming from. He has the talent in there, which arguable Brendan could (unlock whilst the Swansea coast air clears his rage lol) so if the scenario did come about where he was on a free transfer and fit comfortable in the wage structure (mid way, no way top earner) then in a purely footballing sense he is more than worth a shot and you would be silly to say no.............however football being football it's generally not all being on the talent of the player and some of it goes on how he is as a person and i think the fans wouldn't take to him etc and that could cause a bit of an issue....saying that football being football if we signed him and he banged in a hat trick on his debut home game against, lets say Man C or Man U and went on to bang in 25 goals in the season and Swansea pushed for a top 4 place, then almost all will be forgiven and forgotten

Sorry Dan and Vetch, but your getting into the realms of fantasy if you ask me, Barton will not change his spots, and it would be a disaster waiting to happen, if we signed the donkey!............ I have to ask (very politely of course)Vetch have you been sniffing any glue?.........<laugh>......... <cheers>

Swansea seem to be good at helping players with some sort of problem or other , who want to help them self .... this doesn't fit with Barton , he's proven on more than one occasion that he doesn't want to help himself

I don't think his talent outweighs his attitude problems. He's a decent player but we can get and have better players without the attitude. So what's the point?

"perhaps some replies were made in too much haste."

No, not really. How many times have experienced managers thought they could "handle" this violent oaf? Keegan, Hughes. All failed. Trouble is he's a self-centred troglodyte who inevitably lets down his manager and whatever unfortunate club he's playing for at the time with nauseating regularity.

    So no thank you.

Still no , I'd like to think we are above that (but then I'm a bit of a idealist)

I would not like to see him in a Swansea shirt - nor do I think him joining would 'reform' him. Quoting Nietzsche on Twitter will not change the fact that he's a thug.
