Snodgrass won't sign a new contract, best we can hope is that he stays till Christmas but in all honesty if we can't afford Ward we are hardly going to build a promotion challenging side so either way he will be off at some stage. McCormack wants more than the club are willing to offer him, rumours are that Wigan are ready with a £2 million offer (not bad for one good season but who will we replace him with, we know the money won't go back into the pot) and Clayton will be a right bargain for someone if they can get him more consistant.

I'm just glad its all over, now we can turn our attention to someone else and chase them for the best part of 6 months until they sign for someone else!! Ristac What i have seen of snoddy i have actually not been that impressed, what are your thoughts, is he a decent Champ player or good enough for the prem.
Opinion is divided on how good he is, he really does lack pace and he stands out at Leeds because this season gone we had so many below average players so he is going to stand out more. Personally with any other Chairman I would jump for joy at any fee over £5 million if it were going to be re-invested back into the team but it won't be. Good enough for the prem? Just about I would say. Clayton is a far better gamble, he is young enough to develop further, he came on leaps and bounds this season BUT he put on 1 good show in every 3-4 games, usually when the TV cameras were there, not a problem if you have the right manager. I am slightly surprised Warnock has not tried to keep him and develop him further by working on those weaknesses.
I'm glad that the Ward saga is over he was never going to come here and if he thinks Palace is the better option then fair enough! We only want players that will pull on the Blue and White Shirt with pride. Now for the real business of getting in a GK, CB's, CM, Striker etc.
Its better to sign players that really want to play for your club. Or you could do the Sven way Basically throw so much money at them and they cant say no. Look how that turned out for us. Sometimes you are better off losing out on players
Don't really get the vendetta against ward here Spanish? Surely, there's other people to be annoyed with here. Fair play to Ward for rejecting us in January. He is a local Pompey lad, and wanted to stay with them. I see no harm in that. We went back in for him on loan, with their administrators rejecting that bid. Again, not his fault. For him going to Palace, and the " time etc for him to make his mind up " - We don't know the story at all. Phil at TWTD writes countless articles of little relevance, trying his best to " update us ". I like what he TRIES to do, the reality is completely different. I don't know what connections he has, likewise EADT, however I never fully trust them at all. Take for instance, the report with us and the Lillestrom striker. We're apparently competing with Everton Wolves etc for a striker rated between £3 - £4 million. It's never going to happen, so really what is the point in saying about it? I could write an article linking us with Eden Hazard, and it would have zero relevance too. The media links with us are very poor. I don't bother writing on TWTD because somehow there are more idiots on there than on here! In all seriousness, I don't agree with everyone on here, but deep down we all want whats best for the club. I have time for each and every one of you on here! In conclusion, I'm not ****ed off with Joel Ward, I wish him well for the future. When I went to Fratton Park earlier this season and we won 1-0, I had no idea who he was as their entire team bar the Man City loan winger were dreadful. A lot of their fans believe he's a headless chicken too. I however, am getting ****ed off with idiotic articles on TWTD !
