    I am sat here in the library at Uni, with a deadline of 12pm today to hand in my work, I have just finished a 3000 word essay, and still have another 1500 word essay to do. And here I am telling you all about it.

    Cheer me up guys, anyone who goes to Northumbria want to come in and help?

    I'm not, I will get it done, just a case of focussing to do it. I had done some of it but a certain virus from this forum made me lose it.

    you'll be fiiiine! I whacked out a 3000 word essay in 4 hours today, am sure you can sneak 1500 in a couple of hours!

    Its on social research. I have to analyse 8 interviews and categorize them, they are about people choosing which Uni to go to and the problems they face in doing so. Biggest pile of **** ever but it has to be done.

    Had worse than that, had to do Business Law and the lost the work 3 times, it was a really hot day and last work of the year. Took me from half 10 in the morning till half 1 the following night to get it done. If I can get through that u can get through this.

    4000 word history essay on the 16th century french monarchy was the worst essay i've ever done... cuz that was in 6th form! 4000 words, at A level? crazy i tell ya, crazy!
    did it in the last few days though, so not as if i lost any sleep over it....rarely used to sleep anyway so made no difference
    it was just there, y'know...

    I have to take my mam to the train station at 5am, and then my dad to work at 7am, I then have staff training from 9-11am and then the work has to be in for 12. Its now or never!

    That sounds easy enough to blag your way through!

    4000! Worst I had was a 3000 word English A Level essay last year!

    aye, 4000 for history at the same time as two 1500 essays for english lit. nothing crazy to be honest but at the time i was disgruntled at having to write essentially 7000 words...

    I usually think that the 10% either way rule on the word count is going to work in my favour but I always seem to go over.

    Yeah I got handed my 3000 word English essay. Thought I was ****ed. Thinking i'd be lucky to hit 2700. First draft? 3900 words.

    i normally fall short of the 10% either way mark... :(
    i hear the words '2000 word essay' and immediately think 'right, 1800 word essay' then think it doesn't matter if i'm only 50 words short of that.
    thats just since starting uni though. at a level i was always over. just shows how lazy students immediately become!

    apart from creative writing, i always go over.
