    No Way! He's a mercenary!
    He'd be worse than Owen!

Good player, decent on his day.... wouldn't say no where his abilities are concerned.... bad attitude though. grumpy little bugger who works when he wants to. city probably didn't do him any favours though.
don't want a club spirit disruption now do we!

to be fair, he could be not as bad anymore. what the hell do i know

The way he worded it "one day I will return" suggests he will play in Spain for a few years first. If he would come I think he'd be a good signing, provided he isnt on stupid wages <ok>

    This.

Adebayor is a weird person who just can't seem to keep himself motivated.
He's been at massive clubs and never really set the world alight - perhaps in patches for Man C'teh but he would be expensive and not worth the risk.

I can't imagine he'd come here for 50k a week to be honest. I'd have thought the wages he's on at the moment were astronomical.

    Wouldn't want him here.

Couldn't see him joining us for £50,000 a week.

Will go elsewhere. Good player, **** attitude.

Wouldn't say no. Attitude may be a problem but he's a direct replacement for Carroll really and he won't cost anywhere near £35million.

I cannot believe people on here would not be excited at Adebayor coming here. Yes he has attitude problems, but you cannot deny his ability. You could say the same thing about Ben Arfa. Why would you even think about passing up an opportunity to bring him in?

Having said that, he wouldnt come. Especially considering our wage structure.

I agree with the posters who think that he's a merc. Wouldn't like him here. Would prefer someone younger and with a 'I owe Newcastle for bringing me to the EPL; attitude a la Tiote. For someone like Adebayor, we'd just be a medicore platform for his ego.

Bollocks, he'd fit right into the Newcastle team. He'd get 15 goals for you at least, 20 with the right service.

on his day he can be a great impact player but he wont come to us for 50k a week when he is on 120k at madrid. he is all for himself so why would he take a 70k a week pay cut?
