On a side note, if Wigan didn't turn into world beaters for the last few games this season, martinez wouldn't have even being considered.
i dont buy all this wait and see what wigan do, i think they will really struggle for a decent manager with many of there better players out of contract and probably working on a smaller budget than us dont see why any manager would take it
Totally agree. Ive got friends who are Wigan fans and they are stunned Martinez is even being considered. They were practically doomed at Christmas after a very poor start to the season and it's not like he was new in the job or anything, he had a lot of time to get 'his team' together. He has done poorly generally since going there from Swansea, consider record signing Boselli who hardly even played for them despite costing what is a lot for a club that size, and I was categorically told "We're nowhere near as good as we were under Bruce". As you say, if it wasnt for the last 2 months of the season he could easily have been sacked by Wigan and I think it is only the dignified way he handled himself and staying true to his principles that have endeared him to potential suitors. So back on topic I hope he doesnt go to Liverpool cos I actually fancy Bruce is the best option we could realistically hope for.
there income will be with the premier league money but with what there manager will have to play with wont be much more than ours
I don't think bruce will be in the frame for the Wigan job if it comes up that is...i'm fairly sure he's managed there twice and i seem to recall dave whelan sayin in his book that going back to Bruce was a mistake so on that basis I doubt he'd even be in the running...I could be wrong of course so if someone can correct me
Don't be a twat. He didn't mention it because he's condescending and can't deal with bad grammar, he mentioned it because we have to mess around deciphering your posts because you don't know what a comma is.
It looks like there are two candidates for the job SB and some-one else, who is the some-one else? also SB is favourite to land the Wigan job if their manager goes to Liverpool. Brucie would take that over us, he said he is keeping his options open..
Except for the first part of the season they couldn't pick the starting 11 that finished the season due to injuries. For a large part of the season, despite not getting positive results they were playing well.
Grow up. Let's not see another thread closed because of posters with the mental age of an eight year old.
I've heard that the Steve Bruce deal is dead. We are currently looking at Billy Davies and Uwe Rosler.
