It's quite possible that hostilities may well be about to reconvene between these two Clubs',but not on the field of play. The latest name to be bandied about as a possible Swansea target is Jay Rodriguez, the young Burnley striker who had a really good season, scoring 21 goals, and being selected in The Championship team of the year. So what's the problem? Well,Cardiff have reportedly tabled a £5,500,000.00 offer for him. Although,as one sharp eyed contributor to the site where I discovered this, wrote,"surely that's a printing error, and should read £5.50,and they would have great difficulty raising even that much".
Someone would have to land on Boardwalk or Park Place , with hotels ,for Cardiff to bring that much ....." funny money " to the table . P.S. ... Is this deal before or after Drogba !!
"How absurd". Not quite sure how to respond to that. Does the comment refer to Post No.2,or the main thread?
The main thread Vetch. I'm referring to Cardiff as absurd. Don't they ever learn? Despite the Malaysians saying they can't keep on making huge losses they still want to spend extortionate amounts of money before they can afford it
Its true that both clubs want this guy but if you was him who would you choose...mmmmmmmm let me see,, One is a Premiership club with aspirations and the other.........is just about......or is it.......cant decide if its a club or not as they are not sure themselves if they are bluebirds or red dragons, play in blue or is it red, £70 million in debt and rising over £1 million a month.....mmmmmmmm which club would i be better off at do you think....
That's what I thought, but thanks for clarification. Cheers. Who could argue against your premise that Cardiff are "absurd"? Not me.
We can't really afford Rodriguez , at that price (5.5million) . As much as it hurts me say ... we better leave him for Cardiff !
"we better leave him for cardiff". Where is your compassion, cracker? Would you really wish that on him? He does sound a tad expensive, and doubt we will see him in a Swans' shirt.
In reality neither team will get him as i dont think we would pay £5.5 millions for him, (Burnley are looking for £8 millions!) and the redbirds havent got £5.5 million to buy him...plus Everton, Fulham and Newcastle are looking at him so Cardiff are at the bottom of the list
What's wrong with Emnes, surely he could do a job for us, thing is that a lot of clubs have been linked to Jay Rodriguez, Southampton, Celtic, Everton, Newcastle, and the Mighty Redbirds, so we don't really stand a chance, do we!............ By the way the Redbirds rebranding may still go ahead according to club insiders, who believe the rebranding could still take place ..............
Wouldn't be surprised if it did go through Phil , money dictates how the crowd marches around Cardiff
