Just because dave says so doesnt mean it is so I think the problem is he doesnt understand the topic at hand
This may explain Israels so called military hardware production capacities and selling to the US The military aid from the DOD budget is mostly for specific projects. The largest items have been the canceled Lavi attack fighter project, the completed Merkava tank, the ongoing Arrow anti-missile missile project, and several other anti-missile systems, most recently the “David’s Sling” short-range missile defense system. Haaretz reported in June that a senior U.S. defense official has said the U.S. will support and help Israel’s development of the advanced Arrow 3 designed to intercept advanced ballistic missiles. The fact that the U.S. military was not interested in the Lavi or the Merkava for its own use and has said the same thing about the Arrow and the other anti-missile projects would seem to jettison the argument that these are “joint defense projects.” The FY ”˜01 appropriations bill also gave Israel a grant of $700 million worth of military equipment, to be drawn down from stocks in Western Europe, and the FY ’05 defense appropriations bill includes a provision authorizing the DOD to transfer an unspecified amount of “surplus” military items from inventory to Israel. In addition, since 1988 Israel has been designated a “major non-NATO ally,” giving it access to U.S. weapons systems at lower prices, and preferential treatment in bidding for U.S. defense contracts
more on Israel 'leading the way' Other Grants and Endowments: $457.7 Million. The July 2006 report included $456.7 million in U.S. grants and endowments to U.S.-Israeli scientific and business cooperation organizations. The two largest are the BIRD (Israel-U.S. Binational Research & Development) Foundation and the BARD (Binational Agriculture and Research and Development) Fund
I think they are both aggressors, the Palestinians do not endear themselves blowing Israeli children up on buses - but the simple fact is that there are two different ethnic people who have very different levels of power within the same borders. While this continues to be the case there will never be peace. Israel is the one losing out on this power balance and so they are dead set against it - the free world most probably needs to impose it, if we had any balls - or conscience.
The issue with this is that we would then in turn become the aggressor? A more conscientious decision would be to stop tipping the scale of power by aiding one side and not the other.
You mean for their side of the contribution towards the continued U.S-Israeli scientific and business COOPERATION organizations? The main thing is, YOU said that the it was the US who were providing the Israelis with ALL their hardware when it is patently clear that they are not and indeed, you have just shot yourself in the foot by quoting monies which they are using to fund continued research and development between the TWO countries Give up ya pie
Dave serious question Are you really this stupid? look at this sentence: The July 2006 report included $456.7 million in U.S. grants and endowments to U.S.-Israeli scientific and business cooperation organizations ALL the money is from the US Did you read the Jewish source? The Israelis want $50m a year more than the $2.4b it gets for arms and since 1988 the Israelis not only get the weapons, the money to buy and make weapons, but they also get preferential treatment to 'win'contracts in America to build wepons with US money, by US trained scientists, using US materials and charging the US for the pleasure of paying them and training them in the first place I like your way of thinking though, do you have a car? If so give it to me, pay for my kids driving lessons, pay for the insurance and tax, and then buy it back of me, we will cal it a joint venture
''I think they are both aggressors, the Palestinians do not endear themselves blowing Israeli children up on buses''
That's a bit of a defunct analogy based on the context. If you had said give me your Fiesta, pay the insurance and tax and I will modify it to look and perform like a BMW then you might have a case .
Saying Israel is an aggressor is ridiculous Does it make any sense for them to provoke other countries No it doesn't Oh and Shwah is a Muslim so he is a hypocrite as there are loads of Muslim countries
Which was counteracting the argument that Israel were the aggressors - that's how normal arguments go, you can mostly agree with the other persons point but moderate it by pointing to the balancing act of the other side. **** this, I'm not playing with you any more - enjoy arguing with that stupid **** BH, you deserve each other.
Israel has always been the aggressor, however people hear what they want to. They ignore what the likes of De Galle have said and instead repeat this type of mantra ''Although Israel fired the first shots, virtually everyone recognizes that Egypt, Syria, and Jordan started the war."
This is what happens with any argument with fan ... he fails to see any side of the argument which doesn't fit with his own perspective, shades of grey in the debate elude him.
Not at all. I simply asked a question. Funny thing is turn this into an Irish v Engish thing and the statements I make suddenly appear On this issue he specifically stated that the palestinians bomb buses with kids on them, yet no specific mention of Israels atrocities My initia point to him was a general question to be honest his response was a bit mardy so I responded in kind and who IS BH? you or dave?
