Exactly daiswan !! over evaluation !! everybody else has done it for years, now its time for us to do the same. Why play it straight when nobody else does ?? If you have the mentality that he is worth £6m then clubs will offer £3m !! see how it works now??
He's better than Ramsey, and they paid 5 Million for him years ago, this has to be a joke, Joe is worth 10 Million +, and his best days are yet to come, if it's true they can sling their hook!...............
Agree Dragon. Ramsey and Allen are identical players, and I do rate Allen as better, with his best years yet to come. Even if they bid £10million, I still wouldn't want Huw to accept.
**** no. Were stable, not in the red, not even one reason why we would even consider selling him. If we did, I'd be shocked, but then, if he requested to leave, then that's his choice. But, I stand by whatg I said before, he's Swansea through and through, he wouldn't leave.
on the same planet as the people who paid all that money for Henderson, downing, 7m for roger Johnson, and 50m for torres so i would say pay up or wrap up to any club
joe Allen will not be going to Arsenal, sunderland or WBA are about his level, Arsenal not for a few years yet i am sorry. value probably 5m no more than that
Jackash if a big club came in for him Swansea would be the last thing on his mind. He would be offski in a flash
Dai Joe Allen is a novice in premiership terms, Wenger would only buy him as a future prospect, at swansea we dont have the riches they have he is a big name here but in a club like Arsenal he would be a reserve player for a few seasons, so 5million and we would have done well i think.
I have all ready said that mabon.. he is a rookie at this level....maybe in a couple of good seasons and he might reach double figures in his valuation. even if it was a low bid by arsenal then they are entitled to try that first but they wont go any more than top whack of £5 million......
and you would sell him for £5 million? think you need to ask yourself the same question....what planet are you on? Granted £19 million seems a bit steep, somewhere in the middle - about £11-12 million - would be about right given his age, that he has a long contract that they would effectively need to buy him out of and he has a LOT of potential after one very good season at this level. But then again we don't need to sell him so lets just hope the board reject any offers for him unless a stupidly high one gets placed
He is not a rookie at this level now otherwise siggy with what 18 games would be ranked less than a rookie, he is joining at a fee of about £7.2m remember ? Allen is worth at least £10m of anyone's money, and I don't think our club will let go of one of our biggest assets for anything less with cash up front.
Mabon have you been on the bottle? How can you say £5M! No way would we sell for that amount, and if Ramsey went for £5M years ago, then Joe is twice the player of Ramsey, and in my view is worth at least £10M, sorry but your selling the boy short!...........
