Yeah but these companies/corporations were founded by corruption, they made money by corruption and instigated the financial problem we are n now by greed and corruption.

There are many companies who try to obstruct investigations and hide what they are actually doing. In recent years we have countless examples of Investment banks misleading clients to make more money. They lack morals and follow greed - money at any cost.

They are symbols of corruptness. Banks are more powerful than governments. Look at our banking bailout .. the terms and conditions for the banking bailout were agreed by, none other than, the banks who wanted the money. Thats like me going to a bank, asking for a loan and me telling the bank how and when I will pay back the money !! As if.

It's been pretty long since I've seen so many people talk so assuredly about concepts they haven't the faintest clue about. <doh>

Actually no, it's only been as long as the 2011 riots. <laugh>

  6. The people behind the creation of the Federal Reserve were European. Europe had already had hundreds of years of fractional reserve banking, and brought it to America (read the Rothschilds). In 1913, the US was plunged into economic slavery, as Europe had been for so many years, with the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank (a private and unaudited bank in full control of the US money supply - amazing how many Americans even now think that it is a govt dept) . Since then, the US has become the world super power and is the centre of the fraud which plagues our lives - its the most corrupt country on earth.

I agree with you but it's got nothing to do with Nationalism.

English corporations like BP, Citigroup and Glaxo Smith Klein, the Saudi Oil companies, Indian Steel Co's are every bit as corrupt as they're american counterparts.

To claim its an 'American thing' is pretty much just racism.

Many of Worlds largest corporations are American because the country did have the strongest economy. As China becomes the next world superpower you'll see just as much corruption and unethical behaviour in the way they do business.

  8. Interesting, because without any doubt at all, you have no clue about people's knowledge of the subject... Your statement is therefore extremely ironic.

  9. Correct - but as it stands the highest level of corruption is in the USA. The reason is the Federal Reserve completely control the greatest supply of money in the world.

Can we stop with this whole "Banks are evil" stance. If it weren't for banks, we wouldn't get paid.

Give it a night's sleep, and read through your posts in this thread. If you find any hint of applied critical thinking in them I'll concede this argument.

Your (and theHotHeads, and theBears on "capitalism") pathetically shallow statements do tell me about your knowledge of the subject.

And I'm done with this thread, let the nutters run amok. <laugh>

    This is typical of 'gent'.

He'll argue against you in a moronic attempt to look smart but wont offer up anything constructive himself.

Let me end this argument. I am currently residing in the USA and it sucks. Therefore American owners must suck too. That is all.

Dont misunderstand me, there are 2 or 3 arguments here, I am only arguing 2, the first being American owners of football teams being useless and the second is Investment banks/banking being founded on corruption, operating on corruption and causing recessions due to their corruptness. But I don't know enough about Asian banks, for example, to include them with my sweeping statements so for now I will stick to the UK and US banking systems.

Hmm haven't I been constructive with you in the past?

But the statements in this thread are so 'out there' that it's pointless to even start.

When your understanding of the topic is such that you think an answer such as "that's just capitalism" is reasonable, there is no hope in reasonable discussion.

I have no problem when people have opinions on stuff they might not have a great understanding of. But when they are assured on their childishly simplistic statements... that is not an even an "opinion", let alone an informed one.

    I cant agree with that.

Its just on a bigger scale. Besides we're talking about all business not just banking and the distribution of money.

You have states US like Washington, California or Oregon where there is a a huge push for ethically run businesses.

I highly doubt there's the same going on in Albania or Somalia where corruption truely is rife.
