Not exactly a rival, but just reading that the ticket firm (Ticketus) that had a three year contract for "season ticket sales", has had its contract terminated. How much was the contract worth? £26.7 million, signed last May. To put this figure into perspective, the whole club is now being bought for £8.5m. Also, if there are say 40,000 season tickets (I'm just grabbing that number out of thin air for comparison), that works out at £222 *per ticket* going to the ticket agency. And of course they probably don't have to do much with most of them but renew. That's mad... no wonder Rangers folded! One would hope that the ticket people did a lot more, but the BBC article didn't suggest it.

Whole crazy situation though. That includes the idea that you put all the "good business" into a new company and carry on, and all the bad debts into something else. This might be very nice for the Rangers fans (and football in general I suppose) but not so good if you are a creditor of Rangers I suspect. If I was owed money (and some people are owed an awful lot) I don't think I would be happy that such an arrangement should be made. I'd want all the assets sold and the profits divided up among the creditors. But of course business doesn't work like that!

Grant Holt has handed in a transfer request.

I just wonder what he'd be capable of with a bit more quality around him? he's looked good at norwich. But is it one of those situations where he is best suited there, or would he become a better player elsewhere?

I wonder if somebody's 'had a word' with him?
    Seems a strange move, otherwise.

He caused King a lot of trouble at WHL, but I wouldn't have thought that he'd get a move to a significantly better team than Norwich at his age.
Unless he's already got a destination in mind, then I can only see a falling out as responsible.

he would be a good plan B..especially if we dont keep Ade..everyone needs a plan B...ask Barca........planless priks...whos planless preparation means we have to support a team in red tommorow!

ive never had passion for any other team as much as i feel as though ive got for Bayern tommorow..im going to kick every ball like i do with Spurs!

we all need a plan B..or we end up praying!!

Torres will be back to his old self next season, I fear.

Now that Drogba has said his goodbye's, he'll feel like the main man.

Depends - if Chelsea's system is still set up for Drogba to be their focal point, they;ll be in trouble.

well i'm guessing it's going to, having signed Marko Marin. he's the sort of player who will feed torres. Marin is probably the first signing of a few from chelsea this summer. I reckon they will be a different force next year. Roman won't be happy with 6th, despite winning the CL

Well obviously, seeing as he isnt playing for us anymore LOL
We are just gonna field 10 players for every game next year and pretend Drogba is still with us!

Because it turned out the free-flowing football he had them playing was effective in the Championship, but was getting them murdered in the Premier League. They lost eleven from fifteen in the League, plus were dumped out of both cups by Ipswich and Reading respectively, before they pulled the trigger.
