Announcing via "sources" that we are looking at Steve Bruce as Manager must be good for Season Card sales. It may well be that Bruce will not be interested when it comes down to what will be offered. In the meantime, the possibility will entice many fans to buy a season card. This isn't a criticism as it's what I would do as well. They couldn't get me to the KC in restraints if they appointed Phil Brown, so let's hope we get Bruce.
It'd be pretty **** marketing to release it as a way of selling season ticket cards if it's not true. They've stated they expect to appoint the manager by the end of next week. We have a month to get our renewals in, or for new fans to buy their first ones. Combine that timing issue with the fact we haven't actually received our renewal forms yet to return them, they're not going to gain/retain many sales as a result of any false release, and they're more likely to piss people off by appointing someone else before renewals are completed.
Used to have the card system at Boothferry Park years ago but it got abused so they went back to rip out tickets. Now with an upto date system the card can only be used Once per game. As for getting one ? Many will wait until the manager is confirmed. Everyone has until the end of June anyway.
