He broke down the wing earlier this season and had a great chance to cross a ball - the lad behind me said "Croos it you useless ****er" - he had time so he looked up and there were 5 opposition shirts in the box and zero Sunderland (Bendtner was standing admiring the ball he'd just played to ricco) - he got absolutly slated by the lads behind me for not crossing - when I said "There's no-one in the box" they shouted at me!! Same thing happened in the second half in the same game and he crossed it this time - and got slated for not looking up by the same people who slated him for not crossing it earlier in the game - when I brought this to their attention they soon quietened down!!
Martin had to play him there as he inherited a team without any left backs. That was the fault of Bruce, am even bigger numpty than the OP (lol) and he's the only daft bugger who really thought he could play there (or Marty wouldn't be about to let him leave) and Moyes hasn't even bid for him. Richardson is an okay player who thinks he is David Beckham when he clearly isn't. If Moyes or Fat Sam want to part with £3m or £4m for him then I'd be extremely comfortable with that.
that sounds about right, sadly Richardson is a do no right player with far to many, in the same way MON can do no wrong. Every time things go right, like our good run under MON, I read how MON has shown just how good our players are. When it goes wrong its because of the crap Bruce left us with. My opinion is a mix of both, Bruce bought some good players, MON is a better manager and I have no problem giving them both credit what the good things and criticism for the bad.
I think I have been consistent in my views. Richardson isn't a good enough footballer imo in any one position and is a very average left back. MOn can not be criticised for something if hasn't done yet and that's brought in his own players and team. To be jumping on his back so soon, as some have done to their eternal shame, and giving him stick for not finishing higher this season, is plain dumb. The time to judge Mon is next May surely, after he has had at least 2 transfer windows and a full season with the club. That's been my stance since December but if we fail next term, I will be the first to make the point. Until that time Marty gets my full 100% backing through great and not so great periods.
Already said my bit on other threads. But once again. He has been a good servant for our club. And played out of position more times than enough. thats me done.
