Is it: (a) us, the fans (b) FSG, our owners (c) the daily newspapers If you think (a) you are wrong; when was the last time any fans ran any club in the top leagues? if you think (c) ......I would forgive you for thinking this as most fans seemingly believe everything they hear, even though the journalists seem to contradict themselves, usually within 8 hours - reminds me of a game I used to play....think it was called lemmings! if you think (b) you are correct. Like it or not, FSG own and run our club and do not have to tell us anything until they believe we are ready to hear it. As fans, if we don't like what they (FSG) are doing, we vote with our feet....right? We don't jump ship to a new club but we stop taking close interest, stop going to matches at every opportunity, stop buying copious amounts of merchandise to brainwash our kids and slowly, over time the club feels this. It was evident under Roy and even under Kenny on the terraces. Personally, I don't think that I have ever felt so disenfranchised with LFC and am waiting patiently to be won over - FSG play a dangerous game right now........but ffs, even knowing this, I don't grasp onto every blind word written by a desperate hack to fill column inches!! Let FSG win us over and ignore the mayhem.... perhaps when we stop fueling the fire, it will die of its own accord? Just a thought!
well all i can say is i await patiently some progress... honestly had they sacked kenny a week before i'd not have gone and pre-ordered the new kit. the first time since G&H took over that i did so to support the club a bit more. The one thing i will say is if a certain set of appointments are made I'll think hard about my next move cos honestly if they think its an improvement over kenny? I am just goign to wait and see what they actually do now.
Being a very trustworthy person I just feel that they have aplan in mind and will come up with the right decisions in the end. Admittedly it is frustrating hearing nothing but rumours but it may turn out that whoever they appoint is some one we never considered. All we want is to be back where we should be. All the rumours coming from the press can't say I am over excited by any of the names mentioned. Think rafa would be a mistake (maybe) when you consider how the players seemed disenchanted with him towards the end of his reign and don't think you could ever say he was a man to put an arm round a shoulder which would be a big shock after Kenny. AVB..I just don't know, thought when he went to Chelsea he would really do well but for whatever reason it didn't. Maybe too young for senior players to respect (ESP arsehole Terry) Martinez I just don't know. Think he has done a good job in keeping Wigan up but hasn't really moved them forward. I like his style of play and towards the end of the season they were playing as well as anyone. Think he conducts himself very professionally too. I reckon, however that the first appointment will be DRF and I have no idea on that. Time will tell,be patient Y
The Nigerian Mafia have sent me a special email, they say I've won LFC in their Lotto. I've just sent them my bank details and the wife...
All good points. Of the names mentioned, Rafa would my personal choice as he's been there done that, so to speak. But I also remember the lack of emotional intelligence, although I had nearly forgotten it.....if you could mix Kenny's empathy with players and Rafa's statistical/tactical nous, we'd have our man!!
Actually, I haven't got a wife any more. I've sent the ex- she'll come back with their heads in a bag.
Haha, you funny. You're barred. If only we had a bomb to blow the lemmings up. (It's a joke, MI6, just a joke.) There has been mixed messages over The Liverpool Way of doing things behind closed doors. Kenny stood for it and kept the media at arm's length, which they hated and decided to get him for it. They did the same for Rafa, who was bristly with them so they chased him to Italy and spent more time on him there than covering some Premier League clubs. I sent an email to TalkShite yesterday after they said Paul Lambert was doing a Dalglish and asked them why they thought they deserved any better when the media are a bunch of bin-raking, phone-tapping hypocrites who spew out myths, cliches and BS rumours they've made up themselves. Some media muppet even tried to counter a caller speaking up for Rafa by shouting, "He came 7th!" like H&G had never happened and neither had 2 La Ligas, a EUFA Cup, Champions League and FA Cup. Oh, he came 7th? That's worse than Fergie coming 13th, right? They also insisted the pro-Rafa section was a vocal minority. Well, the anti-Rafas used to be very vocal but it seems to me the support for Rafa now is far more universal than it's ever been. Is it just me? Am I reading the wrong internet? But anyway, The Liverpool Way behind closed doors - it seemed FSG were all about it but the way they dealt with Kenny has thrown that into doubt for me. Rafa and Hodgson went "by mutual consent," i.e. let's do the right thing for the club and not give the media something to crow about. Kenny was summoned and sacked, along with almost the entire admin staff. That's caused everybody to wonder WTF is going on. Sos didn't seem to want details so much as an outline of the strategy, or even confirmation that there is a strategy. FSG remained behind closed doors to leave Kenny taking the media hysteria over Suarez and Evra when they should've been out front. (A media muppet on TalkShite this week called Platini a "surrender monkey". I guess that's an okay form of racism. Suarez should've ijust nsulted Evra as a Frenchman.) Just like then FSG should be out front leading and at least having a presence without giving away every last detail about negotiations on new managers.
I do not know you are that gullible...you are trying to reap where you have not shown.. David Cameron have a word for you.
