Borussia Dortmund are readying a bid for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, as the Gunners prepare to slash their wage bill, according to The Daily Mail. The Denmark international has been on loan at Sunderland this season, but the Black Cats have decided not to make the Scandinavian attackerâs deal permanent and sent him back to the Emirates Stadium. With Bendtner not part of Arsene Wengerâs plans, the forward will have to look for a new club, with the German champions ready to make a bid for him. Arsenal want to strip at least £20 million off their wage bill this summer, with the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Denilson, Sebastien Squillaci, Johan Djourou and Carlos Vela also on their way out of the north London club. Finally, Arsenal are also keen to offload Andrei Arshavin after a poor last year for the Russia international. The clubâs record signing has spent the last six months on loan at Zenit St Petersburg, and Wenger hopes that the Russian Premier League side will finalise a permanent deal for the eastern European attacker. Must be first class wakky bakky to say the least.
well I hope he is willing to sit on the bench, with Lewandowski and Barrios at the club he has no chance of starting a game unless one or both are off and if so they will go for better than Bendtner to lead the line.
Barrios already signed a deal with Guanghzou Evergrande(China). But a dealbreaker might be the coming of Marco Reus to Dortmund. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/marco-reus/profil/spieler_35207.html They paid 12 million quid for the 22ye old striker, why would they need Bendtner, just to warm the bench?
For a transferfee of a couple of millions(6-7million rated on transfermarkt)? I can do that on the side, for 500 quid a week, sit on a bench for 90 minutes. Where do i apply for this job called 'laziness heaven'?
I know we all take the piss out of Bendtner but the bottom line is last season we were a better team with him in the side than out
Now i agree with this...ok he's no world beater (only in his mind, he is), but i reckon he's a bit better than he is portrayed by some.
Guessing you mean Kuyt from the bin dippers and if so yes. He is vastly underated IMO and seems like a MON type of player. If we don't go for him my only guess would be he is sick of England or wages again
From what i heard in the media he just wants to leave Scouse city because he didn't get enough minutes this season in his opinion. He wasn't too happy with Dalgleish. Since the departure of Dalgleish Kuijt(Thats his propper spelled name btw) he said that he would like to stay at Liverpool as long as he gets more playtime then last season. Chances of that happening: slim IMO. Wages will still be high but the transferfee is dirt cheap, you just have to top the 700k quid HSV is offering.
Well there you go didn't know that have added to the dictionary. But yes it seems to make sense to me but by the wages thing I meant from the clubs wage structure not that he would not be worth it, would be a great signing.
Marcos Reus is a midfielder so I highly doubt that would impact the strikers, I went to see Dortmund this season a few times and they are a beautiful passing side, very dynamic and their greatest strength is the quality of service the midfield provides to lewandowski who absolutely works his balls off to get the chances Bottom line, I just can't see where Bendtner would fit in, he's far too lazy to fit into their system and I think this would be a disaster for them personally
For the dictionary: All Dutch names with ij are sort of abbreviated to y in the English language simply because the language doesn't know the i and j combination. Examples: Kuyt = Kuijt, Van Nistelrooy = Van Nistelrooij, Cruyff = Cruijff
