Fabio Capello Is NOT on the shortlist - Echo

I find the Echo pretty reliable so I'll believe this. What does everyone thing?

I'm not suprised to be honest, the owners want a young progressive manager and Capello doesn't quite fit the criteria.

The article did go onto say that Roberto Martinez is expected for further talks as well as AVB.

No mention of Rafa.

 

I would be very happy if he wasn't in contention.

 

He's a born winner and would be a huge attraction for players, pity.

 

Not my cup of tea really but hard to argue with his record. Can't say I'll cry myself to sleep knowing he isn't in the running though.

 

Be fair Liverpool is a little beneath Fabio Capello. This is a man who has won the CL and won league titles in Italy and Spain. He isn't going to be interested in a mid table side like Liverpool.
