Not really. Gave a number of players that had EBT's. Implied that Duff & Phelps knew Ticketus were involved to fund the buyover, they said they thought Ticketus was there for working capital. Some sleazy porn king gave Murray the advice on EBTs (he seemed like a gent) Murray once sleazed on Joanna Lumley in Monaco. She said "Naaaaaaa" Ellis claimed Whyte had the Prince of Monaco on board.
So nothing really. Only thing I heard on the news while driving into the office was the "conflict of interest" accusation at a senior partner of D&F. Hardly a ****in surprise seeing as Whyte went into overdrive to get them appointed in the first place.
Not much was new. However it's the first fully concise and mainstream summing up of Rangers problems. Shown on prime-time terrestrial television. All the fact were taken and presented over the course of one hour. Detailing the cornucopia of cheating and water muddying going on at Ibrox for years.
Thats a strange one. Grier who is a partner at Duff & Phelps said he knew nothing about the Ticketus deal until August yet he was present at a meeting in June I think. But what they D&P are saying is that they thought the Ticketus deal was for working capital not actually for buying over the club. Then there is the matter of D&P suing Whytes lawyers. Not sure how that works. But as we all know, the admin process has been a mess.
What gives with all the "not much" chat. None of you have even mentioned Ronald Watteraus being forced against his will to be paid via an EBT - technically, Rangers couldn't have had any influence over the EBT payments if they were being operated legally. It was a whole hour of dodgy bastard cheating but you lot concentrate on the Lumley anecdote
Thats what I'm saying. We've all been reading about this on a near enough a daily basis for the past 5/6 months. What I think is the bigger crime is HMRC breaking the Data Protection act.
Dear Huns, If you don't want to look as stupid as you did after the last documentary, you might want to disown this spastic now
Openly breaking data protection laws. Now that Bibby, is a crime. No it's not. If it was straightforward we would have been found guilty or innocent quite some time ago.
We know it happened. Did you know players were FORCED to do it? Just watch it, Gambol - remember how your fellow fans treated the "hatchet job" before? I'm not gonna argue a white craw black with anyone today - I'm aff and enjoying the back door with my wee lassie. In fact, you're all right - it was nothing new - nothing will come of this Three in a row, nae dough, brothers
I never said nothing would come of it. I was asking if anything new was revealed and the answer seems to be "no really". I didn't know they were forced. Does it matter? The issue is not the EBT in of itself but the dual contract used (which is against the rules) and that continues to be under investigation by the SPL. Hardly breaking news. To me this huge big mess seems to still be the same huge big mess as it was yesterday. Unless I'm missing something.
We obviously have different interpretations of what the word forced actually means. Example. Dementia ridden Tina had to be forced Jelly & Ice cream in her care home.
You and Tina keep repeating this ****. How were players forced to do it? They were being offered EBTs on top of their basic salary. If they'd said 'No thanks. The basic salary's fine', do you think Rangers would say 'Sorry. The deal's off unless you accept this additional money.'?
