The government have just announced that the next person to turn down the Liverpool job will have his benefits stopped.
Gary Nev said that football is about winning trophies,..therefore according to Gary Nev, Liverpool have had a better season than United and United fans should agree, is this true? Or is it that finishing second is better than winning trophies, even though that finishing second and qualifying for the CL may well mean that you crash out to Basle in the group stage! So, what is better? Lifting a trophy or qualifying for a competition that you will crash out of at the earliest opportunity?
Nice too see that crashing out of the group stage once means it will happen every year. And yes even if that does happen again 2nd is still better than the Carling cup. Nev is right though, for example Chelsea have had a better season than us despite finishing 6th.
Can't you lot find a different tune. This must be about the 3rd time I've heard this!! By the way,why was King Klown Kenny sacked. He won a trophy didn't he.so much for his successfull season.
Henry said last August that 4th place was the goal. Anything less was a failure. Liverpool failed as did Dogleash hence the sacking. Unless they buy several decent players and ship the deadwood plus get in a quality manager, they will struggle to finish above the top 6.
Don't see it happening. Liverpool might strengthen this summer, or they might buy more flops. Either way they are too reliant on 3-4 other teams going backwards next year. They'll finish 5th-7th.
im guessing 7th, too many average players. Although in all likelyhood they will have a better manager next season. dogleash is awful
The scousers won a trophy which means sod all. Didn't Birmingham get relegated after winning the mickey mouse CC? Didn't Klown Kenny the buffoon got sacked in humiliating fashion after winning that same mickey mouse cup? What would the scousers have given to be in contention for the title until the last day of the season! and the chance to compete in a champions league that they can only dream of at the moment. Next season will be their season !
Lad, stop pretending you're anything more than a moron. You know how dire the situation is at the kop, and no amount of talking nonsense and "cleverly" playing on the names of other users will change that. I honestly think that I'm not being ridiculous when I say that 'pool should concentrate on a top 10 finish before anything else.
Glad to see everyone else is finally starting to notice the morons on here. Been saying it for ages... Anyway, top 6 for Liverpool in the next 2 years would be MASSIVE. They would have to say well done to themselves if they managed top 6 within 5 years.
Newcastle are currently a better club than Liverpool. I would of been shocked yes but not as shocked as I will be if Liverpool finish in the top 6 next season.
Very tough for them to break into the top 4 considering the strength of the teams fighting for them 4 spots and the problems that Liverpool are facing at the moment. Realistically can see them finishing 6-9th in the league next season.
How can a club who was supposed to be one of the top 4 big clubs in this country, spent more than £100m I.e most than most other clubs apart from City, have a realistic chance of finishing 6th? How did they slide so far down into mediocrity?
Ye don't even know who'll be coachng the team or who'll arrive in the summer and who will go and yet.. all so certain of those uneducated views on the matter, just wishful thinking most of it. It could be anywhere between 4 and 10th New coach, new players and of course a lot depends on how Chelsea Newcastle and Spurs perform as I think it will be arsenal city United top 3 not in that order though.
How did United turn around their dire record in English football in the 90s. They found the right manager and right players to do it. Your comments are also a but biased, thats putting it mildly, insteard of making a point you barely conceal wummage when in fact we performed well enough to get a fair bit higher up the table strikers apart, otherwise the team was performing but goals were not coming so conceding 1 was always going to be a problem, which is a more accurate description of the issue for a lot of the season than, sliding to mediocrity, there were several issues and lots of negatives this season with other stuff and confidence in the end gets hit. But your line sums it up nicely
If that's your opinion, then I recommend you pray for Liverpool to be relegated twice, that way they'll be virtually guaranteed to win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy every season. What's that you say? It's better to be competing for the really big trophies than winning the little ones? I couldn't agree more
