tarnished the name of our club, some big decisions coming up especially when 25man squad is announced & can't see how he can be in it, sack him & there be some clause where we don't have pay his full contract up! i thought 12 match ban was harsh should have been 9 but even then he's got go.

    Most definitely this

I, like many others, grudgingly gave Barton a second chance after the Norwich game, and his form did seem to improve a little

However, his actions in front of the world's media, and subsequent ludicrous tweets, have insulted all those dedicated Rs fans who spend our significantly smaller earnings following our team up and down the country

    Barton - just f*ck off

It is time that a statement of "Gross Misconduct" is delivered by the FA; and every professional players contract should be required to have a paragraph that states that if the FA deliver a "Gross Misconduct" statement the players contract can be dismissed - IF the club wish to do so!

At least the FA and the Clubs can then make a choice to deal with persistent behaviour by players - and the players can now be held to account!

But at least clubs are given the opportunity to make a choice!

... and for what it's worth, I think he should be dismissed now.

I hope the board also take into account how important this game was for us...
His view was "who gives a **** we are safe" as if it was designed
    What a comment

If we don't manage to get rid, are we within our rights to withhold his wages for 12 weeks?

Its not about that for me, its about us getting off paying over £10m in wages to a mediocre at best player.

Lets be honest, we wouldnt be saying this if it wasnt a player we wanted to get rid of anyway.

From what I've read the club were making moves about him before the City game, had already had discussions with the PFA and even Gordon Taylor seemed at the end of his tether. I think the majority of us are going to get what we want.

The only reason Barton elbowed Tevez in the throat is that he forgot that the nasty **** is a midget. Was probably trying to wind him!

What concerns me is will this affect other players of quality who want to come to us will they think twice knowing this idiot is on our books,i think we should get rid as soon as possible.

I'm afraid we're only in our rights to fine two weeks wages for each offence = 6 weeks wages. Meaning he'll pick up money half of his suspension. Can someone clarify please?

Alot of people are confusing the limit on fines (i.e. Barton paying money back to the club) and withholding salary.

The PFA will limit any fine, because they will defend anything (they've nothing else to do). But I think QPR would be within their rights to withhold salary from Barton since he is unable to do the one thing he is contracted to do.

Mark Bircham has been quoted on Talksport: "Speaking from the footballing side of things we're just disappointed at the length of the ban..........."
For real........., was it beyond this guy just to say 'no comment at this time'?

I think it's quite reasonable to think it was harsh when you compare it to others.

Bircham is a cheat so it doesn't come as much of a surprise.
