They're are playing there first official gig as a 4 some since Glasgow Green in 1990, tonight in Warrington http://www.nme.com/news/the-stone-roses/63946
When in the mood there CD goes on but can take or leave them to be honest. Just booked tickets for Nickelback supported by Daughtry @ Sheffield arena on the 7th October.
They're my favourite band, one of the reasons I want to learn the guitar. I can't really say I know to much about Nickleback, i've heard they put on a great show though
Shame the SR have reformed for $ reasons Makes them appear hypocritical ****s of the highest order Even worse when they try to deny it- mugging off their fans.
Seen them at spike island (cant remember too much about it cause i was out of my head for 3 days) and got tickets for Heaton Park on the sat
Don't see how they're mugging off there fans? They've had offers to reform for millions loads of times in the last 10 or so years, so why now? And they deserve a big pay day, they produced one of the greatest albums of all time, but hardly saw a penny from it.
It's only happening cos the singer needs the money after ex wife has taken him to the cleaners in court Daresay the guitarist and drummer need a few bob too.
was told a story about Remi checking his bank balance to see if he had enough for some bread and milk and there being millions of pounds in there, the story goes that he didnt realise they got the advance ticket sales money straight away
Is it any coincidence that Mani, when question about the band reforming, said they'd do it when Man City won the league? Strange why Mani signed up to it since he's doing well as a dj and as bassist in primal scream. I saw him last year at Manchester Airport. Top bloke posed for pics with anyone who approached him.
I'm sure they pouted scorn on all those bands that re-unite in middle age to cynically milk the fans...and then guess what? they went and did it themselves. If they devolved all receipts to charity, I'd take my imaginary hat off to them.
Pixies only reformed for the money, doesn't mean they're still not the best band ever to have existed in the history of the world (and other planets). It is, after all, a job. And we all need to make a living.
