Wigley is mentioned in the latest Barmby article in the HDF. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-16152236-detail/story.html? Quote: The current state of flux also extends to first-team coach Steve Wigley. The 50-year-old was recruited by Barmby in November but the Mail understands his contract does not currently extend to the start of the new season. Any new manager is likely to bring in a right-hand man of his own, meaning any prospect of seeing Wigley back at the KC Stadium in 2012-13 appears highly unlikely. Unquote: Doesn't look too good for him.
95% of the managers quoted for the Hull City job is a Foo-king ridiculous idea. Wigley is in my top 5 of the names mentioned so far. The Allams sight loyalty as a key issue in this unholy messup. Well Wigley has shown loyalty to Hull City by turning down the GB Olympic No.2 spot,,, so it works 2 ways. IMO, there is something going on behind the scenes unknown to anyone but the parties involved. IF Nicks sacking had been approved already by Assem Allam then why not just announce it ? Looks to me like a big U turn could be in the pipeline. TWT.
Personally I think it's safe to say that there will be no u-turn and that NB will not be returning as manager. His position at the club is now untenable. There are a number of possible reasons why the decision has not been announced yet. They could be running their decision past their lawyers to make sure they do everything correctly in accordance with the club's disciplinary procedure. Alternatively, they could have offered NB a compromise agreement, and the terms of that (and compensation) are being agreed. As regards Wigley, if you have him in the top 5 candidates (even though his name hasn't been mentioned) I sure am glad that you're not in charge of appointing NB's successor
Nothing is untenable and for the good of the club and not there egoes they need to get a grip. Whilst i agree its highly unlikely NB will return as manager under the Allams until the deed is set in stone dont rule it out. As for Wigley, He was in my top 5 as a pointer to the lack of quality names mentioned for the job. IF i was running Hull City this mess would not have happened in the first place. Just saying like.
