Our cheapest and most expensive season tickets are more expensive than the cheapest and most expensive season tickets of Man City! Ridiculous.
I think they're very reasonable but I'm just miffed how, sitting in block 34, I will now have to pay Kingsland Centre prices rather than Kingsland Wing prices (it is in the centre though really). I think the installment plan is good too - much better than the one last year.
I'm hoping they'll bring this back as it gave priority before general sale. Money for nothing as far as the club is concerned and helps regular fans who can't go to all matches/afford season tickets.
Think you will find its their prices that are ridiculously cheap rather than ours being ridiculously expensive!
There is a reason for that, too. He's called Sheikh Mansour. Like he gives two ****s about an extra 1-2 million from ticket sales.
Why do people have to moan about the prices? Get a better job if you can't afford it. We're in the most popular league in the world, £575 (how much mine will be) is a bargain
Can't compare our prices to those at clubs with larger stadia. If we had to fill a 45,000 stadium, there would probably be some cheaper seats as well. Prices seem okay and have probably been arrived at after much scratching of heads about costs. I want SFC to have money at their disposal and want us to be financially sound. If you can't run to a ST because you have more important things to spend your money on (such as family and mortgage) it is not the end of the world to be selective about games. Contrary to what some would believe, you do not become a second class fan.
A decent ticket for a London show is about £50-65. At least, you get a good view with even the cheapest seat at SMS.
^^ This. I'm also in Block 34. It was a great block with the wing\goal atmosphere but an actual decent view of the pitch. I really hope the moving it to "centre" kill the atmosphere. Having said that, if I move seats to the new wing\goal area, my price will be about the same as last year as it was my first ST so I paid the "new purchace" price and that's about the same as this year's renewal. So a mix of good and bad for me.
While i do appreciate and understand the 'whiners' point of view. I think we need to get a little bit real, as others have stated we are going into the biggest and most presitigous league in the entire world. The same thing happens every year and prices go up, so why are people so surprised? The club is a business and it believes that this is the profit maximising price. Clearly the club thinks it will be selling out at these prices, because cortese isn't a moron. And so he will charge as much as he can. I think the majority of us knew this increase was coming and for me it's a increase of around the size I expected. We do live in one of the most affluent areas of the country and for that we pay more. I personally am seeing a huge increase from 240 to 470 that's very nearly a 100% increase, aided by the fact that I will be entering the concessions band of pricing in the kingsland north. Those talking about loyalty while the idea is nice that the fans will be rewarded for the years of sticking by the club. A football club is a business, especially so in this league and with a man like cortese at the helm. So while of course I do slightly begrudge paying more, (why wouldn't I) it's nothing I didn't expect and nothing I hold negatively. Roll on the premier league.
I feel as if I have been mugged 3 Adults (1 OAP) and 2 youngsters, in Kingsland Block 30, no concessions = £675-00 each, for less games. This will probably be my last chance of a Season Ticket as I retire in September and no way will I be able to renew in the future, so I have to make the most of this one. Not so much of a moan as I fully expected it.
