    Neil's text to TF after R's narrowly escaped relegation;

"My three away wins don't look so bad, do they?"

Justified in publicising his text? Perhaps, when you compare results.

His 3 away wins certainly look good compared to his 1 home win.

The quote was also prefixed with 'I'm not bitter'. Why publicise a private text then Neil? It may have being a bit of banter as the tone is taken out of how it was said so may being a bit harsh.

However, the counter arguement is - How about the one home win Neil?

I think he was entitled to make the point about his away wins to his former employer, as any of us would if we had been sacked and replaced by someone who had not emulated our success in any particular area, although a few home wins under his belt might have strengthened his case.

Frankly if I were sacked I would move on and concentrate on my new job (or getting one) rather than constantly harking back. How the Leeds fans must love this - the man who took them from 3 points off the play off places to 14 points off by the end of the season - still mithering on about the past. Still, they are a MASSIVE club, sure they'll manage.

How about throwing easy points away Neil or playing one up front at home against a weak team?
Move on Neil because we have.

I understand that of all the clubs he's been at he really really loved it at Rangers and feels that he didn't get a straight crack at things this season which to be fair he didn't. That being said I think its like ex-girlfriends, no point looking back and bitchin', just move on to the next one.

The ****er set up us for a Home defeat by Bolton after he had the whole summer to get it tight. That was already the beginning of the end IMO then Rochdale .. NW completely revealed his massive inexperience with us and he will be stuck in Leeds for a long time IMO before they get someone else. Taarabt was the real difference not NW when in the Championship ... In time most will see that he was miles off the standard required regardless how ell we did getting here.

    It's a gradual process, I think.

Maybe TF should have replied "You sold Gorkss in return for DJ Campbell" Not the best bit of business Uncle Colin ever did.

Warnock was given money and bought SWP and Barton, Sparky was given money and bought Cisse and Zamora. I think if Warnock had the January window to buy more players it would have been the same old journeymen we'd previously gone for. Would we have still stayed up? We'll never know.

Crazy talk as usual although I agree with the Rochdale bit. COLIN's hands were tied pre-season and if you can't grasp that then you are the bitter one Oddball.

Yes our promotion season's football was awful but you do what you have to to get up. Some of COLIN's performances in the Prem were quite good to be fair.

I think he was hoping we would go down as somehow that would justify his thinking that he shouldnt be sacked.

He got 1 home win playing about an hour against 9 men and for that hour, the 9 men were all over us.

    Im so glad hes gone.

Yes, warnocks hands were tied pre-season but let's not forget his wishlist - Graham, naughton (norton?) and routledge. He reckons we would've finished mid table with those signings.....says it all really. Colin.

bit over the top there DT, i respect the bloke & agree with others they gave him naf to spend early pre-season, but in the end it was the right decision for him to go & home in the end kept us up.

That wishlist was on the back of being told he'd have fu*k all to spend. Do you think he'd go for them had Tony been in charge and given him a good kitty? Plus, Swansea did alright with Graham and Routledge didn't they?

You just can't underestimate the importance of having a pre-season and being backed by your board. We had the worst possible close season any newly Promoted Club could of had. That's why come kick off v Bolton I said we had no chance and we'd finish 19th and that it was nothing to do with the Manager.

Sparky took us over in 17th and finished 17th. It seems great owing to the manner in which we survived,ie beating all the big teams. But his record prior to that was dreadful. He lost to all the sh*t teams and got us in that mess in the first place! I think COLIN would've kept us up.

You dead right there Swords - I agree. With Colin still in charge I reckon we'd have been safe by mid-April following on that run with on paper easier games, and with a number of probably different but good January signings. COLIN LEDGEND W*NKER!

But I do also agree with Ellers -it's time to move on! As that text was sent the same weekend we survived, it's old news anyway, and hopefully Colin has now moved on.

Very harsh but very true IMO. Dave conveniently ignores the fact that it was NW who finally got Taarrabt to fulfil at least some of his potential but other than being an inspirational figure he was clearly limited as a manager and often displayed all of the tactical nous of a pub team captain. Tin hat on! I know he was loved by many.

Some liked NW and I respect that and of course grateful for motivating us and putting together a great team but
I stand with my views and in no way am I bitter ... NW and Joey Barton will both some themselves was what I said once ... And guess what ? I was correct... NW will in time even **** up the good memories and good will he generated. He fell in love with London and now he has had to go backwards
I stand he built something and then blew it ... I admit there wee some outside stuff but it's beginning to stink now ... We had a great team on form yet it went wrong and I believe he was the root cause plus he signed Barton
So IMO he is the result of his own actions ... I simply never liked his ideas on football but understand why some do. I bet anyone Leeds fail with him in charge

I've always said that too. Hes a w*nker pure and simple. But who gives a fu*k about that? He was shafted by the Mob when he needed them most.
