Isn't that obvious If it was the British City if Culture Derry couldn't take part It's not part of Britain
I take it you got an A in geography. Great Britain = England, Scotland & Wales The United kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland = England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
Admit what? That Londonderry isn't in Great Britain? I'll also admit it is not in France, Poland, Paraguay or Zambia. If you are refering to nationality then it is slightly different, as I have shown you countless times. To be classified as British you must be born in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/b...ishcitizenship/borninukorqualifyingterritory/ This page will help you decide whether you are a British citizen, if you were born in the UK or a qualifying territory. The qualifying territories are all the British overseas territories, except the Sovereign base areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia (in Cyprus). If you were born in the UK before 1 January 1983 If you were born in the UK before 1 January 1983, you are almost certainly a British citizen. The only exception is if you were born to certain diplomatic staff of foreign missions who had diplomatic immunity. If you were born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983 If you were born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983, you are a British citizen if at the time of your birth one of your parents was: - a British citizen; or - legally settled in the UK. Anything else you would like help with? Your homework, how to talk to women etc?
I was born in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Beautiful Belfast to be precise.
Eventually every half-arsed settlement in Europe will get it's turn to be City of Culture. Barcelona and Amsterdam, and even Liverpool are a bit different though, because people actually want to live there. No **** want's to live in Derry, surely?
