He played for the reserves this afternoon: http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2331777,00.html
Apparently he personally chose to leave as he wished to impress during the closing stages of the season. He's still fourth choice centre-half so the only way I see him playing is the last game or two if the play-offs are mathematically impossible. Either that or a major defensive injury crisis. Also: "a slight delay for repairs to the referee's assistant's broken flag" What the ****? Did they get some old dear to sow it back together?
i am gutted i couldnt ghet up there today. i am normally in Teeside on a Tuesday but today was different. Glad to see that Dean Lisles played again. I think he looks another good prospect at the centyre of defense
He's left footed, so I doubt he's played much at right back, I certainly can't see us risking him there. Confirmation that it was his decision to leave Carlisle: http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10361~2331821,00.html
Not that I know of, and sticking a kid in an unfamiliar position would be suicidal. Don't quote me on this but I think he's left footed (or that may be some random idea I've got in my head) so he wouldn't make the ideal right back. Obviously the footedness of the play does not dictate his position but it's rare to see an opposite-footed full back, if that makes sense. I know Chester's only a kid too but he has had experience at left back so he has some idea of how the full back position works. Just realised I'm completely contradicting myself there, Chester is right footed but is supposedly pretty comfortable at left back.
The Boro report says Cullen missed from 4 feet, shortly before scoring a screamer from 25 yds. http://www.fansonline.net/middlesbrough/article.php?id=2286
well that is better than Simpson's miss agen Gateshead........less than a yard with an open goal!!!! I think that Cullen could well be back with a vengence soon and better than before
a stunner today apparently and a tidy long distance finish against 'The Heed' too last week. he will be knocking on the door again by sept
dont get too excited about toby ajala. i reckon he is no better than we have. akpen is the interesting one for me and i think he will get a start at the expense of hobbs in the squad before the end of the season..... loved his headed goal last week. anyone know how he played today?
Good of the lad - clearly wants to play at the highest level and not drop down a division. He certainly has the potential to be a good player in the NPC. Possibly try and ultimately nick the LB spot off Daws as well as providing cover at CB. What with the uncertainty about the futures of loanees Gerrard and Hobbs, pretty astute thinking.
It looks Cooper pulled the plug on his loan when he wasn't included in the Wembley squad: http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/carlis...n-to-hull-city-1.825079?referrerPath=/1.49997
