In December we lost 1-0 to Spurs and 'Arry said 'we were a good team, well organised' etc

And yes we were, we started winning games, got out of trouble, catching the Mags and beating teams around us comfortably, such as Stoke, Swansea, Norwich, Liverpool etc. We were chasing a Europa spot, had a great cup run, beating Arsenal and beating them well! We were looking at a top 8 finish and above all, we were loving our footy!

In March, we got thumped by West Brom, fizzled out against Everton in the FA Cup and then garnered 5 points from 8 games. From champions League form to relegation form almost overnight.

I believe something is still very wrong in the state of Washington CD.

My belief is, once Everton dumped us out of the FA Cup that was it, season over.

We were safe from relegation and the players went into cruise mode.

It was a strange one, and if there is any truth in SAFC83's theory, then it shows that we have a lack of character within the squad..

Seb and KR's hernias meant we had two imortant players not operating at 100%, JM getting doubled up on and teams closing us down outside the box stopping the wonder goals going in, off the top of me head

Kieran Richardson is hardly an important player, I really can't see why you seem to **** over him to be honest, there's no way on this earth him being injured had anything at all to do with our bad run, he's not even a first team player for us, in my opinion.

coz me pearly Jizz cuts a fine contrast against his mulatto skin <ok> OR with both him and JM on the left the opposition find it harder to double up on Jamesy as they have to be aware of Keiran breaking down the touchline. I can see the difference when Bridge or Colback play instead, I take it you can't?

Wrong there matre - you may not have the history on this board but you certainly do from my memory and the 606 days - you and I were almost alone in our support of KR!

everton are so much better then us and they seem to think richardson is good enough for them!!

if he does leave he will be a big miss imo not many players out there can play in as many possitions as him..

The trouble is it is happening every season, our squad is too small, and if Ellis short thinks finishing 10th is again is success i am afraid that is failure, i want 6th place next season or the f a cup, i was talking to one supporter last week who is not going back!. 2 top quality strikers is absolutley imperative NOW not future stars like Connor whickham, although he should go out on loan to let's say Reading or Soton next season, a left back, and a defender who can get in and clear balls (too many 'easy' goals were conceded last season) and Sess has to go back on the right of midfield, and someone like Stewart downing in there, and maybe James Milner to give Mclean a rest now and again. Another thing is why can we not have a transfer system where the players we can go after (3rd tier players) is what i call them, are put on a list so it makes the job easier for M O N , or players could email him and say they would love to play for SAFC for at least 3 seasons?.
