    Heard on the radio today that the price of space cargo is so high that the cost of sending a sandwich into space would come to around $11,000. Anyone beat that? :)

    After years of worrying about it, I recently learned why the south of France is known as 'Le Midi' when it sounds more like 'the middle'.

    The explanation is that 'Le Midi' actually means 'midday' and the sun is always due South at noon.

    Added bonus: the southern mainline station in Brussels is Brussels-Midi.
