http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/football-spy-transfer-news-round-up-843015 According to the Mirror (I know they never get it right). Neil Warnock is ready to make a £1m bid for Derby striker Steven Davies.
Won't believe any incomings till they put pen to paper, guess this is the possible replacement for McCormack but why is EVERY player we are linked with also linked with Ipswich, was the same last season.
When was the last time we spent £1m on a transfer in? If not a ploy to get Ipswich to spend money, this just appears too far fetched. Unless someone has been having a word about the correlation between stinginess and lack of ambition
I would be surprised if anyone signs Davies, considering the serious injury he had during the early part of the season. The insurance for this player would be massive, and Leeds are not exactly the team most likely to splash the cash.
Warnock has denied any interest in davies saying 'if i get £1m il need to buy 5 players with it not 1'
You should be laughing at the Daily Mirror journo that posted this **** in their gutter rag. None of us believed a word of it. You lot going to walk the league next year? <cough>
So much hope, so far to fall... A "rumoured" 1 million on a non-league Fleetwood striker, I bet it was £250k if you are lucky, your going bust and have no idea. At least we know where we stand...
Are Leicester fans seriously not embarrassed about spending that sort of money on a non-league player?
Why should they be? Could be the next big non-league player plucked from obscurity to become the next superstar, just like....
Do you think he'll be better than jermaine beckford? How much money did we pay for jermaine beckford?
What sort of a question is that? Do you think they will get more money than we got for Jermaine Beckford when he leaves them?
I wouldn't be surprised if they equal what we got for beckford. What i'm really saying though is that they have well and truly not gotten value for money when you compare how much we spent on beckford bearing in mind how successful he was and is. Beckford has a lot to give at this level still as well as scoring goals in the PL when he was there Nice witty comeback moderator...
