I really don't understand why people are giving him such a hard time. Too many people jumping on the band wagon for my liking. 99% of the time he puts in solid performances. Just now and again little mistakes creep into his game (same as every other player that has ever played) i.e the goal that West Brom scored near the end of the season. Good luck to him at the euro's and I hope he proves his doubters wrong.
I think he is much improved, and no longer annoys me as much as he did at the start. Obviously Steve Clark was good for him. But as with the Lucas haters, they only hated him, because they thought that was what you did. Week after week they came on here saying Lucas is ****, just because of one ****-up where he gave the ball away, yet I supported him, as his Opta stats showed a totally different picture. But the great unwashed just saw highlights of matches, and based their worthless opinion on what little they saw, and the fact that everyone else hated him, so they were on safe ground. Funny as **** when he was made player of the year... it was like the manc supporters in Bozz's sig, "He's ****...He's ****...He's ****...ohhh!"
I definately rate Glen. He has improved defensively but his attacking play is what makes him a very useful member of the team. He has pace, skill, can strike the ball with both feet, cross, score goals.
He improved last season, I haven't seen anyone having a go at him for a while. We can accept the odd mistake but he was a liability but like I said he has improved, I hope he takes that into next season.
He's usually one of our best performers. We could be losing 5-0 or winning 3-0 and he'd still be sharp and positive with the ball. If our next manager plays possession football he'll really shine.
