I'm putting myself down for two entries. 17 minutes (10 minutes playing time, and 7 minutes on the floor/stretcher until he's carried over the touch line) Or 5 hours,37 minutes and 16 seconds.
I watched most of preseason on dodgy streams, KD looked one of our better players. In fact i think he was one of the few that were match fit. He got injured while we were attacking a rare sight early last season. 7 minutes on a stretcher, I thought he had pace, we'll have it down to under 5 by now.
Are you taking the piss? I know this is a bit soon but when do the squad numbers get sent in this time round?
If he gets named in the 25 man squad then I'm gonna say 6.66 minutes.. Shame as he used to be a great player....
Pointless stats to illustrate my point - they are purely based on the number of appearances (not like the passing, tackling and shooting stats that are open to conjecture). I've seen him play enough to know that he is was a good player but his career has been blighted by injury (a lot his own doing/choice of lifestyle). If he takes a place in the squad then it'll be at the expense of someone who isn't injury prone and could add to the squad and if he isn't in the squad then we're wasting a basic salary that would pay for a Championship standard player. He may prove me wrong and play countless times but it'd be on a par with Lazarus rising from the dead. His body is broken but he gets paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to be injured just because he doesn't have the grace and decency to retire. I appreciate the point of trying to make the best of it and backing what we've got but Warnock only got him because he was free and we weren't spending. If he wasn't already here, then we'd be saying WTF are they thinking. It's akin to trying to drag Dean Ashton out of retirement for the same purpose. Since it's a recent decision, I think it is very relelvant to a discussion board to vehemently ask why and state reservations.
once we are safe he might play some games but mainly on the bench, but would like to see what he can offer lets give him a chance.
