aber- it was awesome..like a mosh pit in there when we scored....all that bloody grease they had on top of the fence to stop you from jumping on/over.
those were the days..we have to try and improve the bloody atmosphere come august.

i forgot about the grease stuff, cost me lots of money that ****e did............yep im not sure what they can do apart from move the family stand but it defo needs a lift on times..........trouble is we expect nowadays and the fan base has changed slightly with more families coming so the chances of a flat atmosphere is high.....lets get some nice players in now and push the boys on like we know we can.

Boys, there was a roof on the Grange before there wasn't a roof. If that makes sense. Concrete steps to about half way then wooden steps for the rest. I think they had to take the roof off after a bad storm and then they took away most of the wooden steps at the back making if about 1/2 its original size.

Mind you befiore they took the roof off it was only about 2/3rds the size of the Holt End at Villa

At least someone knows what I'm talking about with the roof & wooden steps. You actually had to walk under the grange end to get to the bob bank.

Not wanting to get in the way, but do any of you happen to know the song in the background of that video? Cheers.

Welshman, yes unless you went in at the Canton End turnstiles.

It was really minging under the Grange wooden steps as you can well imagine, especially after about 20/25 minutes of a good game when no one wanted to miss anything by leaving to use the gents. <yikes>

I remember walking under the grange to get to the bob bank, coming through the turnstiles at the corner of the grand stand and grange. It got noisey under there when the feet were stomping.

Now we're going back a bit.

Boys section at the front of the Grange End, only the centre section of the Upper Grandstand, and the lower sections either side of the tunnel known as the enclosure. Canton end going much further back than it did in it's final days. And the radio commentry box in the corner between the enclosure and Grange end.

'Beneath You' by Alter Zero <ok>

If you happen to be walking under the Grange End if we scored (early or late) you could make a few quid amongst a lot of other things falling on you :D
