    It's the contradictions:

Stadium: scrap plans for the 70k stadium which will allow us to compete.

Dither over 60k plans which they have said themselves will be extremely hard to justify to investors for so little increase in revenue.

Murmur about restoration of Anfield which has been proved a dead duck without a miracle.

    Sustainability;

To achieve sustainability you need rather large initial outlay (arguable we got that but lets say we did) on the team & a long term plan of slow squad build over 3 years This approach HAS to be planned with the idea that we do not reach champions league qualification or it's just not viable. To have a long term plan that is grounded totally on short term success, which is exactly what FSG suggested by sacking KD is ludicrous. its spinning the roulette wheel & crossing the fingers with the current level of competition in the league for top 3-4.

& their suggested sustainability or position maintenance is also aspirational but not a realistic business model for the premier league. You can't factor in how well the other 7 clubs will get everything right in a specific season. There advisors seem to be suggesting no investment if not in champions league: we'll what if we drop down again even after achieving it? No new investment??

As for "behind closed doors" well, we are being asked to ditch the rest of the old Liverpool way to embrace the modern business reality of football. Why do they get to keep the one tradition that allows us the customer no scrutiny?

Sorry that idea died with the Internet & the actions of H&G

Just to be clear. I am in no way anti FSG and i do believe they are genuine but I'm also not an advocate of pulling down our trousers & bending over simply because they chased off the known rapist. A group of moneymakers without ethical scrutiny will always think money first product second to their own eventual detriment , the customer needs transparency to keep the product at a high standard. Especially when the product is impossible for the customer to walk away from or change brand.

The "we'll devise the product behind closed doors & see if you like the end result" is simply not good enough.

I'm pretty sure they wanted Kenny back as manager, well they got their wish and look where we ended up! why should FSG ever listen to these plebs ?

They are an embaressment, they do not speak for all liverpool fans, the fact they use shankleys name I find puke enducing also...f**k off.

FSG came in, cleared the decks, installed the peoples choice of manager, backed him to the tune of £100m & when he didnt produce the results they wanted, sacked him ! Now instead of just hiring the next available world class manager that would undoubtable want to manage a crap squad who are not in the champions league, they decide to interview several candidates and pick the best one !!! ...hardly sounds like "chaos" to me !!!!!

SoS can f**k the f**k off as far as Im concerned, bunch of prebubesent he-b1tch3s !

I'm new to Not606 but as far as the appointment of a new manager goes I would want someone in place before the Euros so he can do a bit of scouting at the Euros and work with the team pre season. As to who gets the job thats up to the owners and I would back their choice until their was any evidence that he was not up to the job.

If you think about it if only "big names" are worth appointing we would never have appointed Shankly.

Scouts do scouting, we still have scouts (I think) I'd imagine they will be at the euro's looking for players under the direction of Steve Clarke is there is no manager in place. Fear not young one

Sorry but too many assumptions on here. Are we now believing what the daily rags write? When did this step change happen?

FSG may well turn out to be another circus act, but they may yet be the answer, I certainly don't know and nor does a single person on here.....but we are fueling the fire that the journo's love to burn, especially where LFC are concerned.

I, for one, will wait to see how all this works out - don't get me wrong, I'll be very vocal if I don't agree with what their plans are but I cannot be very vocal (positively or negatively) with what I simply don't know.....and while I appreciate the frustration, I'm not sure how anyone else can be!
