I think we are seriously short in defensive central midfield if Barton goes, and he almost definitely is for the first 8 games or so - we have only Ale and Diakite, plus good but getting old Derry in reserve. Need 2 more PL standard who can play here.
We definately need to strengthen this area of the pitch, particularly if we play 433. Cant believe whoever said Moses is like SWP, only a little better (lol). Moses is basically Wigan's only attacking threat and has shone brilliantly in an otherwise poor team. Out of the 2 I would prefer Hoilett yes, but Moses would be a brilliant acquisition.
I'd be more than happy with either. With Blackburn going down & Hoilett out of contract there's probably better value in going for him as there's a number of additions we're likely to need.
****ing hell, if Moses costs £5m plus, imagine how much Jesus would set us back. Heard he's great on crosses though. I'm here all week.
It have to be someone like moses or hoilett. That is the minimum standard. If we buy someone unknown and hope he will florish here its the stupidiest way to act now when have to improve from last season.
