MM says he wants 10 players

    Keeper on the way.
A left back and a centre back (if Gerrard goes - Gabbidon anyone?).
Two wingers and a centre mid.
    A striker or two.

    That's 8!

Hopefully there'll be a couple of frees, a couple more low cost younsgeters with a few million available for a couple of bits of quality. Most of it's covered in the transfer thread, but the cost bit will be interesting. It would be nice to have £5-6M to spend, but can imagine it being more like £3M. MM has shown what you can get for under a million with the likes of Turner.

£500k each on a couple wingers, £1M each on a striker and a centre mid, a couple £150-250k youngsters and a few frees is about the best we can hope for.

Keeping whitts will be key, but at least we're in the position now where by it's 'IF' we sell a key player rather than 'WHEN'.

That figure is a smokescreen m8. The lad is not happy at Elland Rd and want's out. He is ambitious and looking to progress in his career. Why stay at a club where the chairman has no ambition? I think a lot of big clubs will be watching and waiting in fairness.

I think Snodgrass will be a bluebird by the start of next season, may even take McDrunkard back if he has sorted his act out. We need a few old heads aswell.

Snodgrass isn't a bad shout. Can see him being the sort of player we need, as long as he costs less than the 8Mill! Wouldn't like to see us pay that for any player to be honest

£8m, is he even worth half that? alot of money even for a PL team to spend on an unproven player.

charlie adam cost that and he had top flight experience <eek>

And Liverpool were hardly holding back on splashing the cash.
Snoddy would be a good player but even if ITTi is right in that it's acting as a smokescreen we're still going to be paying a lot for him.

And he isn't even what we need! A wonderful left foot and full of tricks but absolutely no pace (what we desperately need). We will only buy him if Whitts leaves.

I wouldnt pay more than £1.5m for Snodgrass.

No pace and we need pace.

If we bid £3m for Sordell id offer that for Phillips at Blackpool.

Apparently we're in for him. (If you mean Matty)

You may be able to do a swap deal with Dobbie.

Having watched the mare he had in the play off final I doubt his value is much over 50p.

Ok you can have Phillips we can have Ince.

Then next summer when we swap places we can take Phillips off you.

What about taking a look at a player with Prem experience, played us off the park this season home and away and is only 29 with vast experience and a class act ...Gary McSheffrey of relegated Coventry?
