I read a quote from David Gold saying that if West Ham hadn't gone up that he and the other owners would have had to put in another £20m to get the club promoted. Can you imagine Bates sanctioning anything like that kind of investment? He's looking to get promotion on the back of flogging our best players and bringing in free transfers from clubs who have just been relegated. It simply won't happen. God I long for the day when we have a chairman who will actually put money in our club.
That's easy for Gold "speak with forked tongue" to say now. Funny how he never said that BEFORE they got promoted. Very few people pump money into a club nowdays because its just too damned expensive. To make a small fortune in football you need to start with a big fortune.
I think Snoddy will probably leave this summer, and fair play to him, he's stuck by us for longer than he's needed to and a move away would be better for his career. Of course, it won't stop a few people (not attacking anyone on here btw) giving it the whole "he was greedy", "where was the loyalty?", "he's **** anyway", "we only want players who want to play for Leeds" routine.
More doom & gloom .... ADAM POPE ‏@APOPEY #lufc #twitterwhites Warnock says new signings unlikely before he goes away soon. Doing all he can to keep Snodgrass. @BBCLeeds 92.4 FM 6pm.
****ing hell it's about time one of the players was brutally honest about it. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the blame cannot be put on the players doorstep if he leaves now. ****ing hell it's a relief reading that. If he's going to leave last thing we want is the same old mantra.
Well bates and false promises go hand in hand. What makes you think he's not done the same to Warnock? If the rumours about him almost walking are to be believed then he's on the verge. You can see it in his facial expressions and hear it in his voice tone when he's doing interviews that it's a much bigger job than he thought it was, it wouldn't surprise me if he's getting stressed out having to work with pinky and perky.
Send the letter. You find out the procedure, you don't HAVE to follow it. I don't think you can get a refund past a month after purchasing anyway. The Interview is more "keep the fans quiet" mantra I think. Warnock's got a tough job in hand, he needs to handle the ****e from the Incompetent Brothers while making it seem to the fans that he's got everything under control. I'd imagine the interview is the latter.
