Wasn't NB's appeal to the Board, which effectively means the Allams?

Nick Barmby or Assem Allam eating humble pie?

For the good of the club I would suggest ? which is far more important than the egoes of the Allams ? Surely after the kicking that the Allams have had they need to do something to get the fans back on board ? Surely........

I personally don't think he can come back.

Was just supposing that if Nick wins his appeal the best financial option (if thats how they plan to run the club) would be to not pay him off and keep him in the role.

A payoff is clearly more likely but what will the spending of cash on NB mean for our search for a new manager/transfer funds.

    Interesting week ahead.

Give the Allams credit for one thing. They were spot on when they said they know nothing about football.

Does anyone know who the Appeal was made to? Was it the Board, or is /was it more independent than that?

Well it goes up the chain of command. Ehab Allam sacked Nick Barmby so the appeal goes to Assem Allam. Now will Assem go against his son even IF Nick proves his case.? This looks destined for the courts I am afraid but it would be nice to think that both parties could think of the bigger picture than just there own.

this is the whole point of their sacking of NB , - they felt they were being misrepresented in the press by Barmby .
This in turn would cause the fans to question their honesty back in Jan - which funnily enough is exactly whats happening on here :D

As is often the case - the truth isnt always important , what is important is what is believed to be the truth . The Allams PAY for their version of the truth to be heard .

Ehab didn't make the decision to sack him, the Allams did (the family). Ehab was the one who delivered the news.

I would suggest that knowing nothing about football, applies to most of the rest of the owners or chairmen of clubs.
Some exceptions maybe, Dave Whelan at Wigan for one, but I can't think of any others.

Why should he get a pay out if, as I believe he is out of contract? Wasn't he signed up until the end of the season?

IF thats the case then an appeal to Assem is pointless. But due process has to be followed and next stop will be the courts sadly.

5.25pm sports desk today says that the appeal result will be announced later in the week. ffs, whats going on. ? Is NB sacked or not ? ?

Very true. But most do have a Director of Football beneath them. Oh for a Dave Whelan type owner.

It is the case, the appeal is pointless (apart from for compensation). Get over the idea that Barmby might not have been sacked, he will never manage Hull City again for as long as the Allams are in charge, that much is obvious!!
