great stuff aber. You'll never beat the terraces. Jump up for a goal and come down 10ft closer to the pitch lol
Great vid! What days.! Football was dire for the most part but plastics supporting Man U and Liverpool dont know what they missed out on. All that was needed , a crate of beer , a transit van and a volunteer to drive.
Fecking brill Aber ,fecking brill . Me dad told me that was his era and no wonder we are still thought of as the best supported and most passionate club in Wales ..........Cardiff City pure adrenaline ....;O)
Where's the grange end with the roof & the wooden terraces with all the rubbish underneath that someone always used to try & set fire to? Those wooden terraces were tough, they just wouldn't catch.
we need terraces and lets be honest football needs terracing.....trouble is the gravy train lads in power want expensive seats rather than cater for the less wealthy>>>>>>>>>>>ninian park lives on through the blood of them that stood there..............im so glad my boy tasted the passion and feel of a real football arena before we moved we are cardiff city the pride of wales <wink>
welshman was cold in them days dude....a fire was needed lol saying that the oxo was hot enough 2 last the 90mins EDIT: Aber, better to PM that request mate. Cheers Siam
I can remember when we played Manure in the mid 70's we were all in the Grange end and the Manure fans had the whole of the Bob Bank, what a day.
I watched from the comparative safety of the Canton Stand that day. More entertainment on the terraces than on the pitch. Was that the first game after the fence went up between the Grange and Bob Bank? It was like watching lemmings jumping off cliffs seeing both sets of fans trying to get over the fence in turn. Mind you I remember the Manure fans doing the quickest sprint ever between Ninian and Cardiff General after the game. In a recent tv programme on the 70's with a short piece on football hooliganism they showed a clip of the United fans hurtling along Tudor Street.
