I had that feeling from Cisse's goal onwards v Liverpool SB. I thought my heart was going to explode! Otherwise I'm fairly fit, getting on a bit now but have recently passed my medical with flying colours.

    I bloody hope not Brix.

I know, but I was never in doubt of scenario two materialising. <whistle> It was said with tongue firmly in cheek RTID.

Crikey, your being more optimistic than I try to be Finn. It would be fantastic though. <cheers>

As said previously. Mid-table would be sensible progression in the season ahead (and attainable with the current squad). So with further strengthening, we should be able to achieve this. With the new training ground coming in too - this will make the club even more attractive for youth and senior additions in the future!

Decent odds , does anyone else think about having a bet just to soften the blow if the worst case scenario happened???

Am i wrong for even thinking that.

Not quite sure what you mean as excitement from the other end Finnhoop, but if you mean it was squeaky bum time last season then I can see your point and totally agree with you.

Have you seen the Paddy Power advert about betting against your own team? You'll end up supporting Athletico Kebab...<laugh>

On full reflection my minimum expectation from next season is that we completely annihilate Norwich twice.

After the repeated underwear soiling of the season just past I'd love to finish 13th!! Don't think Sparky will be thinking the same though, I reckon he will be aiming for a top 10 spot.

As I said last week, if we can break the 50 point mark and have a decent cup run in either or both competitions I'll be a happy bunny...

Mmmmm.......before this season started the three favourites to go down were Swansea and Norwich (both 4/7) and us (15/8).

Call me judgemental, but I'd say they got it pretty wrong this time round.

While we're on it, they also had Leicester as 4/1 favourites to win the Championship and Nottingham Forest second favourites at 12/1.......but they are rarely wrong!

They've re-opened it in fairness. They do seem to be genuinely worried about losing Holt though!

They should be more worried at losing Lambert, he's not happy with his budget so even Villa look a better prospect...

curiously if we lose holt it'll bring a fair bit of cash, helping to alleviate the strict controls on spending a bit. 5-6m seems to have been bandied about.

It's a difficult one. If Newcastle's strikers get snapped up then he'd be a good option for them for a year or two. Likewise Spurs could do a lot worse. Other than that, I don't see anyone offering him a better footballing deal than Norwich or laying out that sort of dough for a guy of his age so unless Lambert leaves and takes him with him I don't see him leaving.

Actually I think he'd be a great option for Arsenal too but their fans would probably burst into tears and demand their fine institution not touch a ruffian tyre fitter from Rochdale.
