Ok, so I've heard people making racist remarks at away matches like black c*** and stuff.

One example was this guy standing next to me at the everton match.

He was so passionate about the toon, singing and everything. Very drunk, but very friendly. We got on well, and he just so loved the toon. A bit thick, but whatever.

But sometimes he would say things like "**** off pienarr you black b******" or "**** off Distin you N*****"

I personally hate racism, and I agree it has no place in football.

But I really couldn't report this guy for racism. He's a passionate supporter and even though we were 3-0 down he was like "howay lads we can win" ect. He loved the toon.

But his racist remarks were awful.

I'm stuck here. I want as many passionate fans as possible, so I dont want him to get banned, but I hate his racist remarks.

I don't mind swearing. If he called Pienarr a ****ing belland piece of whore scum, I wouldn't care, but the moment racism comes into it, I don't like it.

    What am I to do?

Should I just try to ignore it?

It's not a massive deal to me. It's not as if it offends me that much, but I don't like it as being black, asian, white or w/e colour you means **** all.

btw mods, I've not used swear words, I have actually used asterixes to block them out so they wont offend people, so it's not just because you have your swear filter on.

No one can see the offensive remarks, so don't delete this thread.

Not as if they're your words anyway.

Might be a bit different if you were saying that yourself and offending any lady posters.

All this thread is doing is reminding everyone that you used to make racist remarks.

I was 2 seats away from a group of lads against Wigan and they were using racist languages as well, if you feel strongly about it I say report it. As this sort of behavior has no place in football or society.

It was a long time ago and I said it in anger, and I regret it, and before I could edit it out, people were calling me a racist.

I use to use some racist words in casual conversation because it used to be acceptable, but I've seen, as I've grown as a person, how hurtful it can be to some people.

I personally don't mind the odd racist joke or w/e but the stuff that I here at some matches is disgraceful.

I used to use the shortened version of pakistani as it was part of the common tongue where I lived, but I've eventually expelled that sort of language out of me.

I don't mind the odd slightly racist joke between friends, but, as I said, some of the stuff that comes out at matches is horrible.

yes you should (not that your board is any of my business but)
racism should not be tolerated anywhere...so yes, report him. Passionate or not, he is a racist and shouldn't be allowed to spread his offensive behaviour around grounds.

If you do report him, do it discreetly. Otherwise you'll end up on soup for quite a bit

If he still has details of seat numbers and other information that may be required then yes it should be reported discreetly.
