I think MH will be looking to sign 4 players that will give him options to the spine of the squad 1xGK 1xCD 1xMid 1xstriker IMO this will be enough.
I think it depends if we can offload Bothroyd, DJ, SWP, Barton (onE way or another) and the dreaded Hulse. Not sure of Young's standing with MH either, doesn't seem to be in favour. This is just phase one - the relatively simple contract stuff.

Remember now that Hughes was very complimentary at the end of the January window, obviously sees something in him. If the team has enough organization and steel players like him and Buz may get a chance to flourish.
Still rate Dyer as a player if fit he will certainly be fresh for the new season lol. MH obviously knows his fitness levels and see something worth keeping.

You risk a major rebuild? New names don't make a team ... The foundations are in I see additions but not a overhaul ... Getting a team to gel which is happening is key regardless of personnel ... Remember who was written off last year? ... Diakite was rubbish to many ... We need to keep our assets we need to build on the new core of QPR ... Some have to move on of course we all know that But bringing in a few faces will be enough IMO for our team to continue to gel and grow The fickle given the chance would destroy the team then blame anyone else
Such a shame that Cook and Vine's exits are announced the same day, one put heart and soul into our cause and the other milked every last penny out of it...
I agree but not completely in that the difference is, this year we'll have the entire pre-season to bed them in. Last year we got in Mickey Mouse players and would have been destroyed with that team. You talk a lot of sense here Oddball but we're still reeling from your 8th-placed ravings last season and it takes time to rebuild trust.
