I am not at all displeased at Cerny's contract. Kept the score well down at Anfield. Towards the end, there were a few calls for him to replace Paddy. Hope to see Cookie in The Loft one day. Be great to chant his name as an appreciation.
This is clearing the decks, cutting the 40 strong squad to 25 plus youngster who may develop but can play in emergencies. Decent depth in the 25 is key, new signings may be aimed at first teamers rather than squad strengthening. Is Hulse still in contract?
I think its more of an indication that Kenny is going, Hughes must have realised his play is unacceptable and is keeping Cerny for a bit of stability.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Cerny getting a more coaching role for the juniors and reserves next season.
Dyer contract!! Really!!!!! Must be a part of our Community Science Project - and out intent to donate his body to football science!! Baffling one!! Interesting on the goalie front. Cerny offered and not Kenny! “You get nothing for a pair... ” “Not in this game”
I forgot about that, there was talk of a Kenny extension under NW but Hughes has not been keen on that at all. Thats more evidence of him leaving soon.
Buzsaky is a talent and a great asset to the squad. Dyer is still worth the risk IMO ... he was a outstanding player ...the pros in the game know this ... he gets fits he can play anywhere when called upon ..its common sense to me
about time we all realised that we are not going to spend fortunes ... our team is settled and I bet you that MH knows his foundations already. We showed the world we can defend for 90 minutes against the English champions ... the bits will fall into place I am certain ... we have a top ten team now ..its all about getting them to play as one. I **** you not we will be harder to beat and maybe a few new faces will strength us beyond we all realise now
When your down to a 25 man squad do you think we can really rely on these - Buzz has one good game & Dyer has 3 minutes in the season not what I would call assets to the squad. We need quality/reliable back up Hill, Derry fit into this category + add a few others.
What are your thoughts on Vine and Agyemang as there is a possibility that they could join us, mainly Vine as he was on loan, I know about Agyemang as he played for us years ago, what do you think of him now.
Presumably what with Gabbidon, Hall, ****tu and Ramage (not to mention Borrowdale...) all going we must be in the market for another couple of defenders this summer? I make it that we have Hill, Ferdy, Onuoha, Taiwo, Young, and possibly Traore at a stretch (see him taking up more of a midfield role as at Man City last week)... That doesn't seem like we have a lot of depth in defence to me?
Haha. Hahahahahahahaha. HahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahHahahahahahahah. Both useless egos. If you can get Agyemang giving a toss and two stone lighter then you have a decent enough player on your hands for that level but I wouldn't count on it. Vine's inability/lack of desire to get fit during the last few years, being regularly turfed back here when showing no desire at all when out on loan, tells you all you need to know. Agyemang's car probably won't fit in your car park either and he's ****ed if he has to walk to the bus stop.
I thought they were not the best signings as this is why we are discussing them dropping so low down the ladder, good players in the Premier league don't have to drop down this far, not at this age, maybe as a young player as they are not good enough.
