On a lighter note, I had to go to a meeting in Edinburgh. A plummy old lady from Harrogate was attending too. She had been living in Glasgow for a few years, and I remember her announcement as she walked through the door to join us - "I hate coming through to cravat country". Being the only Glasgwegian, I cracked up. No-one else did. It was not a good meeting for me. Still love that phrase. So perfectly descriptive.
Talking of AIDS capitals, isn't Donny currently the holder of that dubious distinction? Another case of a place having a perfectly nice centre, but many of the outlying areas being needle-ridden cess pits.
Auld man took me, but it was the Jags for me .... (probably something to do with being colour blind yet being able to identify their colours. Or the pies .... certainly wasn't the quality of the fitba').
One of my servants is from Oldham, she's not very bright and has a poor attitude to hard work, but we are tolerant of her and have been very kind to her for many weeks. My father always taught me that you had to be a bad bastard to be a good boss and I've stuck by that ever since. My staff always know where they are with me and expect to be treated like the lower class people they are, understanding that certain people in this world are there to support the wealthier and more intelligent of the society in their creation of adequate employment for the lower classes, and that by respecting and honouring their own place in society, they make the whole society a better place. The north of England appears to me to be the most suited to the lower classes and it has a solid foundation for lack of intelligence, accepting of their place in society and doing the work most people wouldn't touch in a million years, especially for very low wages. It is to those people from Liverpool, Manchester, Blackpool etc that the UK should be proud of, as without them we would have even more immigrants working on buses, local shops, in factories etc.
New stadium not a patch on the old one, but still a good game to watch and have a drink at, even if it is artificial grass. Great junior club and really well run, with community links, Leeds could learn from the lads who run Petershill FC.
Boab, you're such a bullshitter. You've said before on here that you're A) a Stirling fan and B) a professional football scout, and then you write the two posts above?! You'll say anything to fit in, you creep.
What a knob, you appear to have a problem with people liking other teams? I support Leeds and I follow Stirling Albion, I also like Petershill FC (who are a junior team in Scotland). Maybe you don't follow a few teams, we some people do, what's the issue? As for a football scout, yes I am and if you actually read my posts you would have spotted this. I no longer get paid for doing it, I just do it for the enjoyment. My areas have been Scotland and Holland and again I fail to see why this is such an issue to you. I go to many games throughout Scotland and Holland I watch specific players. I report back to a few clubs anyone I have watched and let them know of the players ability, it's pretty straight forward and I'm sure others could do it.
Tell us about some of these Dutch players then, and not just the big ones from Ajax and PSV who you sent a scout to watch once on Football Manager.
I have stated many Dutch players, especially centre backs over the last year and even wrote to Leeds United about them, the fact they are playing in the top of the Eredivisie is important as the quality in the lower leagues is not as good and players need to develop more. Many of the players I have mentioned were not known when I stated them, they have now been noticed and some EPL clubs have shown interest in them. The youth set up in Holland is exceptional and many clubs in the UK now send scouts and technical staff to watch and take part in the training exercises. Edit: Go and check my posts for all the players from Holland I have mentioned and note when I stated them as they were not well known at that time.
BOAB A lad I went to school with if anyone said anything he'd done that or been there, you're a bellend just like him! Why lie to get friends?
I wasn't referring to the Holland quote although im sure if I picked a random country and picked their top league i'd guarantee a few of them would manage to get known.
it's official. All Leeds fans have turned against each other. Infighting is common across all of the boards I visit.
Beaumont Leys in Leicester is a ****ing dump. Fact is every City/Area has the odd place that is full of chavs and ex-Jeremy Kyle guests. But as Jerel said, the question is where is the worst overall.
