As Northy once succinctly pointed out, the man’s made of glass. Very surprised to see him stay on, he just doesn’t seem to fit into the new ultra-athletic mould of players such as Taiwo and Diakite who Hughes seems to favour. Also surprised to see him let go of his old Welsh mate Gabbidon… I remember Gabbidon was the first to sing Hughes’s praises when he came to the club, and he was a regular starter when the new boss first came in. He must feel a bit mugged off now. No room for sentiment I know, but I feel sorry for all the guys who have been let go, particularly Ramage, Vine and Hall. They seem like nice blokes.

i'd hope he was first in and last to leave - he works 90 minutes less than everyone else each week, so only fair he make this time up...

    great role model?

    No. Qualityish player when fit

He's a bit like an Alfa Romao quite good for first 7 minutes. As long as we can get parts we'll be fine. Trust me.

glad to see vine go. he's a leech. every club he's been on loan to has sent him back saying he's lazy and unprofessional.
he was a massive signing nearly 5 years ago but turned out to be a huge flop.

Jumping is below him. Running is below him. Making more than a token effort to get fit while on £18k a week is below him. I have no doubt he was genuinely expecting a shot at the Premier League. He'll struggle to find a Football League team that will play him regularly.

I do know that Vine has purposley been playing rubbish and not putting any effort into any of the teams he got loaned to as he didnt want to get sold......he was on massive wages at QPR and got a £250,000 bonus for us getting promoted.......now he will be picking up £30 a week in job seekers.

He's only first in and last out because the paramedics have to wait for everyone else to clear the path before bundling himback into the ambulance.

    Why? Sheer lunacy.

Sparky maybe thinking that he has experience and is back up should we fail to bring in transfer targets and its better to have someone than no-one on the subs bench. We don't even know what sort of contract has been signed... pay as you play or if he has been offered a chance to earn Uefa badges and join coaching team for the youngsters that we will soon be developing?? There has got to be a good reason and sure we will find out in due course. (That's me being positive and optimistic)

In fairness to Dyer, the Rs have yet to concede a single goal whilst he's been on the pitch...
