This gave me a good laugh to start the week off http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...Chelsea-skippers-special-day-to-remember.html
Definately agree 100% with you on that one. Ashley Cole too. Both coming to the end of their careers now, hopefully don't go into management & don't go into anything media related so they can just disappear altiogether.
To be fair, at present, Ashley Cole is in my opinion one of the, if not the best left back in the world. He's still a twat, but he is a very very good footballer.
What is wrong with what he's done? He's the Chelsea captain and he's been an integral part of what that club has achieved over the past few years and he has every right to celebrate the victory with his team mates and his supporters. Chelsea appealed to UEFA to ensure he could be involved and like it or not he is a legend at Chelsea and everyone at the club wanted him to be involved. He made a mistake in the Semi-Final and he will always have to live with missing the game, but I don't see why he get's so much stick. He is as integral to Chelsea as Ian Ashbee was during our recent success and I wouldn't expect any of you hypocrites on here would have slagged Ash= off if he'd got sent off vs Palace, not played at Wembley and then lifted the trophy and celbrated the biggest occasion in the clubs history.
I totally agree. If it had been some no mark who hadn't played a single game in the competition then fair enough but it wasn't. He might be a cock but he had every right to celebrate with the team he helped get to the final. IMO.
Well said, despite most peoples dislike of JT he's an excellent football player whose been an integral part of Chelsea for the past decade and has been captain for the last 9 years, even with the millions of pounds Chelsea have spent he's been irreplaceable in the team and deserves to celebrate a massive achievement for the club he is the heart and sole of
Could be that Scholes and Keane set a precedent by not getting into their kit all those years ago after they were banned, maybe he didn't handle himself with the best of decorum. Didn't see Laurent Blanc doing a Terry either after he missed the World Cup final.
Theres no way Ash would behave like John Terry anyway, Ash has more class in his little finger than Terry has in his whole body
He even had his shin pads on FFS. It's like the little kids you see in full kits hoping they get mistaken for a player.
Incase I am marked as a hypocrite I will include my earlier statement, I did not comment on his lifting the cup or his shin pads that he never wore for the game he did not play, I do not think that he has conducted himself as befits an England captain and would not like to see my kids emulate his disgusting behaviour in shagging his brother's wife and being allegedelly racist.
I didn't know he had his shin pads on. Is that a wind up ???? If not he wins bell end of the week, although I still maintain he had the right to celebrate with the team.
well said, the champions league wasnt just won on saturday night, it was won over the past 9 months to which he played an integral part, no more so then the semi 1st leg when he was injured yet still threw himself in front of everything.
JT is a quality larker despite what he has allegedly done. He's a footballer ffs, judge him on that. Let's remember Anton Ferdinand has an agenda after his relative druggy Rio was quite rightly stripped of the England armband. Merked!
