With the Euro's approaching who do you think will end up top scorer and have any of you lot put a wager on?

I''ve put a massive £3 on Jelavic up to now.

65/1 so if he does have a blinder it's just shy of £200 return.

I'll put a few quid more on one of the more favoured strikers( probably Van Persie ) but thought I'd see what the consensus is first.

I've put Jelavic in my dream team, like the look of him. However, to finish top scorer I think he will have to score a hatful in the group stages as I cannot see Croatia making the semis or final

I know what you mean but I also fancy Croatia as being one of the dark horses.
Not saying they'll win it but you never know.

Like you, I like the look of Jelavic and at three quid it's for nowt.

Mario Gomez! Been superb last couple of seasons for Bayern, scored 54 goals in 65 games in the league and 21 in 22 games in Europe, at 26 he's coming into his prime

I have a sneaking suspicion that france may do very well so i think benzema at 20/1 is a good bet. Also maybe someone like lewandowski for poland, they havent got a tough group and he has scored a hatful for dortmund this season. 40/1 i think he is

The Germans always score alot of goals at tournaments.

So i would say Gomez or Podolski would be good shouts

£10 each on RVP(Holland) and Klose(Germany) as both countries will get to at least the semi finals imo.

I would have had A £5 on Darren Bent if Roy had picked him.

He wasn't that great v Chelsea Gomez could be he's run out of gas, also has been very poor before for Germany when needed to perform, rather like our own Shrek! Going to have a sneaky bet on Rooney as think he will come in pumped up on all cylinders after his ban

He might not even be there, he's been left out of their squad for their upcoming friendly warm up game.

True (i take it your on about Gomez) but there where 22 players not at their best in that game, I think give him a couple of weeks rest and he'll be ok, the man is a superb striker

He's likely to come from one of the teams that makes the Semi Finals or Finals.

If he carries his Premier league form into the Euro's I can't see any topping van Persie.

I knew he wasnt guaranteed to make squad due to his form, but after his goal v barca and hat trick I thought there's no way he'd leave an inform Torres out with the David villa situation, could end up looking a right chump here, haha

He benefits a lot from Robben and Ribery, great goalscoring record right now though for sure. Mario Gotze just sprang into my mind for some reason will have to go check his odds. The trouble with these kinds of bets is that you can end up backing all sorts and the leading goalscorer will probably be Polands reserve striker or something
