Does any body else reckon this? Luiz and cahill were both immense and i reckon jt looking tired and lacking pace could well of been found out.
Also he might of had that little ghost of moscow sitting heavy on his shoulder, so i reckon destiny perceived that he would miss the game so he could use his leadership qualities and influence in the dressing room.

Luiz and Cahill played out of their wits! In the aftermath its hard to think of any centerbacks, including JT who could have done the job better!

Cahill is the ideal replacement for JT. Especially now the injuries are taking their toll. JT can be rested far more next term.

You might well be right. Everything happens for a reason, or so they say. Luiz and Cahill were fantastic weren't they ?? The future is looking bright , the future is Blue.
Jt would have been a big help off the pitch as you say. From the moment Messi missed his penalty I felt calmly, though illogically, that we were destined to win. Then Robben did the same.
I think our win was the reward for all the close calls and near misses the last 7 or 8 years, and the old adage, hard work is always rewarded came true. Our year for sure.
