Interesting Relegation Odds for 2012/13 season
    They have Fulham mid table.

A lot of the odds may reflect that they think a manager might move leaving
    the teams to struggle.

I wonder if it's worth putting a £1 on the top teams encase there are financial irregularities
and they get relegated. Would that count in a bet ?

    Great post SB.

I can’t really see any of the bigger teams struggling this year but then it’s never that easy to foresee…

I think it will be interesting to see how Southampton and Reading do this time around however at the odds offered I wouldn’t be tempted to put any money on them. West Ham have money to spend so think they will be OK and QPR will also strengthen in the summer so (unfortunately) can’t see them struggling either.

I’d be tempted to put a cheeky fiver on West Brom at 5-1. They have historically been a yo-yo club and would have gone struggled last season if Roy hadn’t been there. I’m not sure who will take over their but think they may struggle as they have over performed this season.

Also Swansea may be worth a bet too at 9-2. A lot of clubs struggle in their second season and if BR is tempted else where they could be in trouble.

Add Norwich to the 'could struggle' list, particularly if Lambert moves on. But I think this year is harder than ever to pick a relegation trio. Anyone outside the top six or so clubs could be vulnerable if injuries and transfers go the wrong way for them.

I remember Paddy Powers had us at 9/1 last year and 7/1 this year so they somehow think we're more likely to get relegated this time round.

V interesting. Like Take me Home I'd be worried if I was a West brom fan, depending, I suppose, on who their new manager is. I also think neither Norwich nor Swansea will have easy rides - the 2nd season can often be harder than the first.

As for us, some unimaginative pundit always seems to include Fulham in the "relegation strugglers" prediction list at the start of the season. Hopefully, 13 years in they now know better.

If I were an outsider, those odds for Fulham would seem pretty fair. Somewhere between Stoke and Everton seems about right.

Surely Wigan will go down, certainly if Martinez leaves. They've only managed to stay up by a stellar final couple of months every season for the past three, they surely can't keep that up.
