3 days to get 3 players in.

Sounds more like Grayson under Bates every day.

You are confusing "I would like ..." with "I will ...."

Go back & read the original quotes.

I think we all know what he meant. Everything's going horribly wrong and you're just making excuse after excuse.

don't need a crystal ball when we've got experience on our side. All the same signs as before.

WJ - Warnock's open musings to get players in and players out by a certain time are all done in order to raise the hopes and expectations of the fans.

His comments have been used thus far, by people like you, to bash those who have a more realistic view based on history and experience who are not taken in by these naive and premature ramblings. Those of us who believe in the mantra that LUFC does its business and then it gets in the press.

And yet again, so far they have been proven to be empty words.

And your tune now changes to "he never said that", "you interpreted it wrong", "I'm right, I'm right, I'm right" and your childish tantrums are about to start all over again.

But so far, there is NOTHING different between Grayson and Warnock. Other than Grayson has a much better LUFC record. And I didn't even like Grayson very much by the time we sacked him. But it's the same old words, the same old inability to get players in, the same old inability to keep our best players and get them to sign new contracts, while the fans pay top whack.

You can argue all you like til you are blue in the face that things are better, but they are not. Not yet. And frankly, they don't look like being for quite a long while.

What you forever fail to recognise is I don't care too much about everything else that goes on, but I do care that whatever product that LUFC is offering, it should be value for money.

That is all. C'est tout. Fini.

And we have not had that for many many years, and now that the club is no longer in peril of the Ridsdale debt solely because the fans came together and supported it massively in its time of need, those same fans can now rightfully turn their back on the club because there is no quid pro quo.

You should change your tune. It's boring listening to your same old made-up whimsical nonsense day after day <laugh> while some of us purely report the facts as they are

Elmo, we really need to have a pint & discuss. I think my written english must be letting me down, as you seem to have completely misinterpreted where I'm at. I understand all the history that's passed. I understand that this could be history repeating itself. I, however, reserve the right to 'wait & see', given that Warnock is now in place, and you never know, we MIGHT JUST come out of it with something resembling a team, rather than a (big!) collection of journeymen. I see a little chink of light and I grasp for it. Truly unnatural for a dour Jock, but there you go. The alternative is to go gaga like Marko does on innumerable occasions. I want to put that off as long as possible and cede to hope - just for a few months, that's all. What I do object to, and this is where my articulation clearly seems to fail me totally, is that I don't want to read the same depressing stuff over & over & over again. It gets me down, & I don't want to be brought down by speculation & rantings of what has happened in the past. There's a time & place for it, & I'll probably be there at the forefront when the time is right. But bloody hell, the summer is gloomy enough so far. Let me have my little ray of sunshine whilst it lasts. It might be my last sunshine, LUFC-wise, & I want to savour it for what it's worth.

Oh I'm sorry instead of making comments like that I should be grabbing a shovel and digging a hole in the sand for you to stick your head in. My bad

"It'll be better this time" is just as tired and just as depressing.

Why is the summer gloomy? It's just about to start! And this week I promise some sunshine over the river in Wetherby!

I promise you that I am not going gaga, and neither is Marko. We are just as sick of the idea that everythign might just turn out alright. If every inventor in the world had that attitude, society would never have advanced. And we would not have computers to converse on.

The only way to go forward is to challenge the status quo, and to be frank, there are not yet enough of us challenging the status quo, and it is those who want to "wait and see" who I perceive as holding us back. Those same people complain that others are complaining at games, they don't want to hear "Bates Out", they want protests to happen when no-one is watching, when it inconveniences no-one, and when it's quiet and underground.

But facts are facts - none of those offered contracts have signed, rumours abound that they are all leaving, and all our potential signings are stalling.

I have a big smile on my face because I made the right decision - based on value for money - not to renew my and my son's season tickets.

If you don't occasionally stand up and say "no, not good enough" then nothing ever changes.

Elmo, a fair & balanced viewpoint. You're perfectly entitled to it. And I do agree that the future of mankind has only come about through challenge (with some help from accidents). Hope & aspiration have always been major factors too in shaping the world, let's not forget.

I don't like to end on a negative note, but I do disagree with the statement below. I suspect you tag me as one of these 'same people'. I disagree. I was in the ESU with LUST venting my spleen at Bates (and possibly risking my liberty at times). Were you?

"We're working hard behind the scenes and as soon as it's possible, make no mistake, we will be.
"I'm talking to a lot of players and trying to get as many as I can in. That's going to be the whole summer in that way.
"It's not straightforward, and that's not just for me, but for anybody because we're all after the same players. You have to persevere and see if you come up trumps."

    Neil Warnock.

Are you sure those aren't Simon Grayson's quotes from last season?

Why did you choose not to include these other two sentences?

"It's not been straightforward by any means," said the boss.

"I'm disappointed we haven't got one or two more over the dotted line, but we just haven't quite been able to finish them off really and I'm optimistic we can push on."

Oh shut the **** up!! Warnock is not a fool, he will have his targets and knows he won't get every single one. Let him do his stuff and comment when the season starts on his signings. **** me, too many pessimists making stupid ****ing comments trying to second guess a manager with a great track record. Grayson is an unintelligent fool who left us with a squad of ****, so if you want to keep kissing his butt go and get a season ticket at the Galpharm.
