Just spoke to my mate, Dougie, He reckons when MH comes back from the Algarve both Kenny and Hill will be offered new deals... I for one am really pleased he also said that Paddy has played all season with an slight injury!
Glad for Hill, Will reserve judgement on Kenny based on injury specified above. Still think hes better off as our number 2 GK when it goes to the PL.
Hill is great news , Kenny i'd be suprised , even if we keep him why give him a contract extension? If he stays hopefully will only be a number 2 or 3 next season , we need a better keeper as lots of people agree on here .
This. Also, Kenny's performances have improved substantially from Christmas despite the injury so I wouldn't write him off completely.
I'd go for Foster and release Kenny. Let's look at bringing in a good youngster as No.2, Ben Hamer would fit the bill...
I met him last year as his boy nearly joined our football club. Seemed like a really nice guy. Still very fond of us.
Can someone explain why I've just heard that Radek Cerney has just been offered another contract, when he's more injured than our fit keeper....who is injured? If Paddy has been injured and we wont play Cerney why offer another contract? AARRGGHH!!!!! Nice to see the club with a clear direction.
As i said in the other thread, signing Cerny makes it more likely that Kenny will be gone because I dont see us going into next season with the same goalies. If Cerny wasnt signed then I think Kenny may have stayed on as backup. surely Hughes can see goalie was our weakest position this season.
Yeah but if kenny has been injured and MH has had no confidence in Radek then why the resign?. I think its lazy. Bad sign, we all agreed on a previous thread that the position needs sorting. unless 2 serviceble keepers arrive we will be screwed at some point next year. GK is the one position we moaned about all season, Just can't get my thick head round this one.
What about Cerny as 3rd choice ( less risk than a kid, but not very adventurous), Kenny as second choice ( but told to fight for his place as number 1) and a proper new 1 st choice? Hardly planning for the future, and assumes we can get rid of Murphy. Experience at this level counts for a lot.
Murphy is staying, Cerny has been offered a stay so we will only get 1 goalie and that will be an undisputed #1 hopefully. Cerny stays because he is a good pro, good to be around and will not moan about not playing but can be relied on when needed.
Kenny would probably want to leave then. I see it as an undisputed #1, Cerny #2 and either Murphy or a youngster as #3.
Kenny won't go he is superfine but i guess he will get worked upon people do not remember the saves he made this year
